Eva from Germany

We were blessed to have Eva from Germany live with us for the month of September. She was looking for a Canadian horse place to improve her English lan-guage and a mutual friend thought we would be suitable. Eva was a huge asset! She spent a lot of time painting and varnish-ing and doing chores. We took her to a few shows in which she competed in. This was her first time riding western and first time showing.

She also golfed, fished, tubed, drove a boat and ate poutine for the first time!

She loved to eat Derek’s fried pickerel. We hope she’ll come back to visit us.

Open Farm Day

On Sunday September 15th we opened our facility to the pub-lic as part of MB Agriculture’s Open Farm Day. Students rode from 2-6 pm while about 150 visitors toured the facility and asked questions. We look for-ward to hosting again next year! Check us out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hR71e6pQhMY or search Cloud 9 Ranch

Fall Lessons

We’ve completed week 5 of 10 in our fall riding session. Nearly 50 students bless us weekly with their enthusiasm, smiles, laughter, eagerness to ride and respect for the horses!

I, Tara, broke some ribs on Monday and so Alyssa Kibsey, my assistant instructor, has been covering for me and will continue to do so until I am able to teach again. I hope it is next week but may not be all groups right away. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Swimming

The extreme heat of summer gave us an excuse to go swim-ming again this year in our dug out. Always a blast!

Boarding available on a monthly basis, prices effective immediately. Plus GST. Indoor boarders guaran-teed one locker per horse. Lockers included in outdoor board depend-ing on availability. Testimonials Please

Thank you to those who have sent theirs in already. I would

really appreciate more testimoni-als to include on our website. Many new clients find me on

line so testimonials would help to instill confidence in what we have to offer. Please send your testimonials to me. If you met

someone on the street and they asked where they should take

lessons or have a horse trained, why would you tell them to

come to us? Include your name if you would like it included.

Include what activities you have been involved with at Cloud 9 Ranch i.e. lessons, shows, vault-ing, training, etc., age and for

how long.

I really appreciate your support.

Leasing

Some of our horses are now available for Lease on a monthly basis for $150 + gst. This entitles you to spend 3—2 hour sessions with the horse a week. We cover all expenses. Jackson, Arnie, Blair and Sonny are available. A maximum of 2 leases per horse at one time and a schedule will be made to prevent over lapping.

Pictures Please!

We really appreciate you sharing photos that you take during Cloud 9 Ranch activities so that we can post them on our website or at least have them as memo-ries for our selves. Thank You!

Attention Boarders &

Students!!!!!

With our new facility and the extra traffic, please do your part to keep our yard clean and functional. Re-member to leave the yard the way you found it. Pick manure, leave doors as you found them (all doors into barn need to be closed to keep heat in), replace tack in my tack-room, pick up garbage outside, close gates securely, etc. My tack-room will be locked when I am not using it SO purchase whatever sup-plies you need as you will no longer be able to borrow them. I suggest boarders lock their tack lockers. Please inform me which locker number is yours.

New Horse Owners

Congratulations to the Lamoureux family on their purchase of Jack, renamed Zack. He is a 19 year old AQHA Sorrel Show Gelding that is super slow and will help Kiera, Quinn and Linda in the show ring next year.

The Giesbrecht family now own two horses, Maverick and Zarra for Priscilla and TJ and all their friends to enjoy. Maverick is an 18 yr old AQHA gelding for barrel racing and jumping while Zarra is a 15 yr old Appaloosa Mare that was shown but is for pleasure riding.

We were pleased to be able to help find these quiet, broke, gentle horses for these families! We are always willing to help others find the right horse for them.

Day Camp

August 19-23rd we held Day Camp here. Georgia Jowett as-sisted Tara as campers rode bare-back, swam in dugout, painted horses, made treats, rode speed events and trail, vaulted and

much more. Their musical ride performance brought Tara tears.

Congrats Derek

Derek has had a great first year in the cutting pen on Ellie (Nurse Ellard) often scoring 70+ and winning a few classes. So proud of you!
