BASICSEssay structureAll essays share the same
basic structure, although they may differ in content and style.
The essence of an essay is an opinion, expressed as a thesis statement or proposition, and a logical sequence of arguments and information organized in support of the proposition.
INTRODUCTIONAn introduction should begin
with a broad opening statement that establishes the context of your essay.
Good questions: Who, What, When, Where, How and/or Why
Its really important that your introduction tells the reader where you will be going, so mention what is coming up in the essay
By the end of the introduction, the focus is narrowed down to the thesis statement or argument

The concluding paragraph of and essay should include
• A narrow statement relating the conclusion to the proceeding paragraph
• The restatement of the proposition or thesis statement
• A brief summary of the main points made in the essay
• A final broad statement on the significance of the argument , and, if is appropriate, its implications
Your conclusion should not just be a list of the main points you have made
