What part does the Facebook ad play?
The job of the Facebook ad is:
• To get your ideal target clients to click on your ad and go to your opt in page
• (we do this through targeting, great ad copy and a good image)
The job of the Facebook ad is not:• To get the conversion once people land on your opt in page –
that’s the job of your opt in page and free offer!
How To Write Ad Copy that WorksYour first line is key to catch your ideal clients’ attention. Make it outcome focussed.
Examples:
Here's how I went from 6 figures to multi 7 figures in my business using videos and webinars that get clients consistently.
I was stuck in overwhelm and exhaustion for years...until I figured out the 3 stuck body patterns keeping women from being fully empowered and living their life at 100%.
Want to become a woman who lives fully every single day by finding your true purpose NOW?
Include up to 3 ‘teaching points’Provide value to your ideal potential clients BEFORE they have to give you anything.
Example:
Video type #1: Create ads on YouTube, Instagram or Facebook that have simple question or hook that engages the client and teaches them something in the process
Video type #2: Discover how to create sales videos that engage the client with a big idea, solve a problem, tell a story and make a call to action to a simple but powerful offer
Video type #3: Create powerful and engaging content videos where you give away a lot of free and valuable training that can serve your customers to help them achieve their goals, dreams and desires and become the new celebrity online in their field

SECRET SUCCESS SAUCE: “Ad Scent”AKA: Does Your Ad Look Like Your Opt In Page?
Ad Targeting
We’ve been running ads for a while now, so I was able to start these ads out on several PROVEN audiences for us…
But if you’re starting out, you’re going to need to do some research on some audiences you think will contain your ideal target customers.
Be prepared to do some testing, and to have 40-50% of the audiences you test work out for you…we’ve tested over a hundred audiences across our funnels over 2 years!
Target Audience Research
How to find your ideal target audience so you get the best results from your Facebook marketing
• Know your customer avatar
• Start by creating 10 audiences. Aim for 750,000 to 1.5 million per audience with demographic and geographic parameters applied
• Use the Facebook Audiences feature to help you: https://www.facebook.com/ads/manager/audiences
Target Audience Research
Look for the CREATE AUDIENCE button. You will create a Saved Audience
Target Audience Research
Try and keep your audiences built out on a theme – you need to identify which niche interests convert best for YOU so don’t mix unrelated interests together in one audience if you can help it.
Where to Start with Audience Research
• Leaders & Gurus• Publications• Professional organizations• Educational institutions• Tools, Equipment, Services• Behaviours and other interests
Layering Interests
When you come to setting your ads up in the Ads Manager you’ll notice Facebook has an AND targeting option – so you can layer interests.
Example:
You can target people who like MindValley
AND
Who are Facebook Page Admins or Small Business Owners
Before You Run Ads: the Facebook Pixel
The Facebook pixel is a piece of code unique to you, that helps you measure the results of your Facebook ads by understanding the actions people take on your website or funnel pages.
For example:• You can see how many people opt in to your funnel after clicking on your ads• You can track sales made in your online funnel from people who clicked on
your ads• You can even use your pixel to retarget people who have visited your website
and show them your ads when they visit Facebook
How to use the Facebook Pixel
You can get your own Facebook pixel at:
https://www.facebook.com/events_manager/pixel
Your pixel needs to be installed on every page of your website or funnel.
Without installing the pixel, you cannot track the effectiveness of your ads –you’ll be throwing money at Facebook and hoping something sticks, but you’ll never know for sure!
