- Is the main purpose to educate, to entertain or both?

Form:- is the story, language and setting appropriate for the intended audience and purpose?

- look for any costumes, setting, music, lighting, camera angles and cuts.

- look for symbolism: use of colour, music

Content:- look for repetition, and emphasis, (what is the director emphasizing or repeating?)

Characters: who are the main characters? - What challenges do they face? - What conflict do they face?

- How do they change throughout the movie?

- Are the characters, their development and the effects believable or forced?
