How to Save an iMovie Project from iPad to a USB Drive?

If you have an iPad with iMovie app, you may have already created some amazing movies with iMovie app in your iPad, or use it to edit your videos. For some reason, you may need to save the iMovie project to your computer or even save it to your carry-on USB drive. Then, how to backup an iMovie project from your iPad to Mac or PC? Or export the iMovie project from iPad to a flash drive? Well, you can follow the methods below to do it.

Method 1: Use iTunes

Make sure you have the latest iMovie or have installed all available updates for iMovie.Step 1: Connect your iPad to your computer with USB cable.

Step 2: In iMovie Project windows, scroll to the thumbnail of the project which you want to save to your USB drive. Tap the Share button and then press "Send Project to iTunes."

Step 3: Now open iTunes on your computer and select your iPad on the left panel of the iTunes window.

Step 1: Download, install and run the program. Then connect your iPad to the computer. (This guide is for Mac user. The windows guide is similar.)

Step 2: Click "Movie" in the left panel, select the iMovie video you want to export and choose "Export checked files to local" button.

Step 3: There will pop up a window asking you to save the movie. Just define a folder to save the iMovie event to your local, and click "Save".
