HOW TO USE CANVA TO CREATE
QUICK FACEBOOK PHOTOS

Canva is a free graphic-design tool website
To start, open your browser
Canva works best using Google Chrome
Enter www.canva.com

This is Canva’s log-in page
To create account, let’s sign up
Sign up using your Facebook account
Or your Google account
Or sign up using your email account
For this tutorial, let’s use Facebook
Click Sign up with Facebook
Facebook log in window will appear
Enter your email address or phone number
Enter your password
This is Canva’s homepage
Let’s choose a design
Click More to view other designs
See other designs
Scroll down to see more designs
Click the design to select
Let’s try Facebook Post
You will be directed to a new tab
Select your layout
Scroll down to view more layouts
You can also search your layout
Type your key words here
Click the selected layout
Preview of your design on the right
Click Elements to add elements
Options for additional elements
Click Free Photos to add photos
You will see selection of free photos
Scroll down to view more photos
Drag the selected photo to your layout
Selected photo is now on your layout
You can change the color of the text
Click on the text
You can see options for text editing
You can change the font
You can change the font size
You can change the font color
Now let’s change the font color
Font color changes
You can make the font Bold…
You can arrange it in the center
You can also make the font all uppercase
Or in a list or bullet
Click spacing to edit spacing
Click Letter spacing to adjust letter spaces
Increasing the spacing moves the letters apart
Click Line height to adjust space between lines
Increasing the height increases the textbox space
Click Copy to duplicate the text
Click Arrange to change the text position
Click Forward to put it on top of the image
Click Back to put it at the back of the image
Click Transparency to adjust clearness of text
Drag it to the left to make it paler
Click the bin to delete the text
Click the text again to edit the smaller text
Click the box surrounding the text
Click the smaller text
Again you will see options for text editing
Re-position again the texts
Now, click on the photo to play around it
You will see options for editing
Click Filter to adjust the quality
You can choose what filter to use
Scroll to the right for more filter

You can also adjust Brightness and Contrast
Click Advanced Options for more options
Play around with these options
For example, adjust Blur to focus more on text
Click Crop to re-size the photo
Pull or drag the corners to adjust size
Click the Check (√) after re-sizing
Click the Cross (x) to cancel
Click Flip to flip the image
Click Flip Horizontally to flip sideways
Observe the difference in the image
Click Flip Vertically to flip vertically
Click Spacing to adjust spacing of the image
You can change the spaces around the photo
Click Copy to produce exact picture
You now have two photos
You can use the copy to new page
Click Add a new page to add page
A new page is created
Drag the other photo to the next page
You now have a duplicate photo
Going back to your first photo
Click Forward to bring photo over text
Or click Back to bring photo under text
Click Transparency to adjust clearness of photo
Drag to the left to make the photo paler
Click the bin to delete the photo
You can also add your own photo to the layout
You can upload picture from your computer
Or from purchased pictures
Or from your Facebook
Let’s try uploading from computer
Click Upload your own image
Click your photo
Your photo is being uploaded
Photo has been uploaded and ready for use
Drag your photo to the layout
Until the image is changed
You can once again edit the text
Or edit the photo
Click Text to add text to your design
Select from the variations of fonts
Click or drag the text you prefer
Move and re-size the text to your desire
Click the text to edit content
Again, there’s the text editing options
Click outside of the design
Click design title to re-name your design
Put your new title
To share your design with Facebook, click Share

Share your design via Facebook or Twitter
Click Facebook for sharing in FB
You can write caption for your design
