How  to  make  a  Blog  

1)  Take  the  Quick  Tour  

2)  Watch  the  Rest  of  the  Tour  

3)  Create  a  Blog  

4)  Choose  your  Display  Name  (the  name  people  will  see  associated  with  your  Blog)  

5)  Choose  a  Blog  Title  and  Website  Address  (URL)  for  your  Blog  

6)  Choose  the  layout  of  your  Blog  

I  recommend  the  Picture  Window,  lets  you  add  a  photo  to  the  background  

7)  Customize  your  Blog  

8)  Change  the  Background  Image  

First  click  on  ‘Background’  to  select  changing  the  Background  image  

Next  click  “Remove  Image”  to  remove  the  current  image  and  replace  with  your  own  

8)  Next  Select  a  Background  or  upload  your  own  Click  

anywhere  in  the  blue  and  the  ‘Select  Background  Image’  box  will  open  

You  can  Upload  your  own  image  or  select  from  any  of  the  backgrounds  

8)  Upload  your  photo  

Click  here  to  choose  the  photo  you  want  to  upload  

8)  Review  how  it  looks  

You  can  see  a  preview  of  what  it  will  look  like  –  no[ce  the  [ling  of  the  image  .  .  .  To  make  it  not  [le  upload  a  bigger  photo  to  cover  the  en[re  background  

9)  Customize  the  text  and  colors  

You  can  also  play  around  with  the  colors  of  the  text  and  other  parts  of  the  blog  .  .  .  Click  and  try!  

10)  Other  adjustments  

You  can  play  around  with  some  of  the  other  sebngs   You  can  also  move  parts  

of  the  Blog  around  .  .  .  I  would  keep  it  at  the  default  sebng  for  now  

11)  Layouts  

Try  out  some  different  layouts  if  you  think  one  is  more  suitable  for  you  

12)  Back  to  the  Blog  

First  Click  Apply  to  Blog  budon  

Then  Click  “Back  to  Blogger”  link  

13)  Almost  done!  

You  can  Preview  what  it  will  look  like…  

Click  Save  to  launch  .  .  .  You  can  always  ,make  changes  

14)  Let’s  go  blog!  

Once  you  Save  it,  click  View  Blog  

15)  So  now  what?   Click  New  Post  to  make  an  entry  

16)  Make  a  Blog  Post!!!  

This  toolbar  let’s  you  play  with  the  font  like  in  Microsoi  Word    

These  budons  let  you  add  a  photo  or  video,  you  can  also  click  “Link”  to  add  a  link  to  another  site  

Don’t  forget  to  give  it  a  [tle!  

Also  don’t  forget  to  include  keywords  (labels)  that  relate  to  the  blog  pos[ng

18)  Adding  a  video  

Click  the  Movie  budon  to  add  a  video  to  your  entry  

18)  Select  the  Video  from  YouTube  

Then  Search  for  your  video  

Select  from  YouTube  

Then  click  Select  

18)  Choose  where  you  want  the  video  

Click  on  the  video  to  select  it,  then  choose  the  Lei,  Middle  or  Right  alignment  by  clicking  this  budon  

Click  in  the  white  space  and  begin  typing  to  add  text  .  .  .    It  works  just  like  a  normal  Microsoi  Word  document  

18)  Video  extraordinaire!  

You  can  edit  any  blog  at  any  [me  by  clicking  on  the  Pencil  icon  

So  give  it  a  try!!!
