Service Above Self
DEFINING WHO WE ARE
• Rotary’s research found that only 4 in 10 people have ever heard of us. And “in name only.”
• Many people don’t know Rotary, so it’s harder for Rotary to attract the new members and volunteers needed to achieve our full potential.
• Rotary is not earning full credit for the good work it does in communities around the world.
• This is important not because we want credit, but because we need people to understand the work we do so that they will want to join us.

WHAT IS ROTARY?
2014
WHAT IS ROTARY?
Sometimes we describe our clubs and activities in ways that are confusing to the public.
We need to change our approach so that we bring Rotary’s story to life, starting with your club and district.

WHAT IS ROTARY?
“Rotary is the best decision I’ve ever made. It’s a global community of leaders who exchange ideas and take action that results in sustainable impact wherever we focus. We’re bound together by a common set of values that transcends all cultures and religions. Basically, it creates a worldwide network of lifelong relationships.” ― Nicki Scott, Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise, Illinois, USA
