  • • English Language and TESOL students have the option of taking the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), a professional qualification for teachers of English as a foreign language.

    • English Literature students can study creative writing through workshop-based exercises.

    • Egyptology students can study a practice-based museum project at the University’s Egypt Centre.

    • Ancient History, Classical Civilisation and History students have study trips.

    • The Literacy through Classics programme allows our students to gain valuable teaching experience in local primary schools.

    • Media and PR students have the option of a year in industry

    • Media and PR Students can take a work placement module.

    • Politics and International Relations students can study an internship module with the Welsh Assembly Government.

    • Politics, IR and PPE students can study the Parliamentary Studies module. Members of British Parliament and our lecturers teach the module and students visit British Parliament in London to review policy-making committees.

    • Translation and Interpreting students have work placements with Professional Translation Businesses and Companies.

    • Welsh and Welsh-Medium students have work placement opportunities with Translation, Legal and Media Companies.
