how to survive infidelity
Infidelity is the unfaithfulness to a current partner. You are committing infidelity due to different
reasons. It may either have you unsatisfied with your current partner that is why you are seeing
someone else. It can be a habit of not resisting temptation. Or it feels like a boost of an ego when
you go out and have an affair with another woman.
You just don't realize that you have hurt your dearest partner whom you once loved. And as she
discovers about your affair, it can turn her more suspicious of your actions and expect more fights
or arguments with her.
But if you want to save your relationship or marriage, there is a way to do away with this habit and
prevent either parties living in misery. Here are helpful suggestions you can do with your wife or
partner if you still value your relationship with her.
Never prolong the misery and affair
If you see your husband or wife cheating, never prolong the misery and agony. You may talk to
your partner and tell him honestly that he has changed. If he has done it once and insists that he
still loves you, there is hope of saving the relationship. With him cheating on you can really be
painful, but if you are willing to accept him back, the best way to resolve the issue is to talk to a
therapist. Who knows it may yield a better and stronger relationship.
Indirectly stopping the affair
When a spouse learns that his partner is cheating, she will likely think immediately to stop the
affair. This can be horrendous event especially if you offend your partner and his love affair. But it
leaves you no choice. To stop the affair, you need to win back your partner. You may create
moves that will divert his attention from the third party and make him return to you. However, this
can turn out a very difficult task. But counseling should help you resolve the issue.
Reach out to loved ones
The wounded spouse may be miserable and in tears once she finds out her spouse is cheating on
her. But if she reaches out to close relatives and friends, there is a chance that the cheating
partner will listen to them and return back to you. It may even enlighten you for the mistakes or
shortcomings you may not have realized.
Making the right decision
Many times when you find out your spouse is cheating on you, you will likely think if he is worth
keeping. He has betrayed you once or maybe habitually. You need to think over again if you
should keep him. This will need a major decision which you may need to discuss with your
partner. Perhaps a counselor or therapist can interfere with these differences.
