DESCRIPTION

Being into various sectors like hotels , events and latest education, i.e. book rentals, I have made many friends and many of them go through this Dilemma of "HOW TO STUDY?" for exams. As all they are told is to Study and hardly anyone tells HOW. This is an attempt to help people in their question of HOW TO STUDY.

What’s the RIGHT place to Study?

▪ Sit at a place where there is enough space for you and books.

▪ Let there be enough light and air flowing in the room.

▪ Lack of Oxygen to brains will make you feel dizzy.

▪ Too dim and too bright lights strain your eyes so avoid them.

▪ Sit straight, laying on bed would make you feel sleepy and lazy.

▪ Before you sit for studying, make sure you have

Notes , Reference books , Pens , Pencils , blank sheets

ready at the hand.

▪ This will ensure you don’t waste time searching important things.

▪ Most people do this out of habit or say addiction.

▪ If you have cell phone at reach, you will be tend to whatsapp, call , text ,BBM or update Facebook.

▪ Keep your cell OUT OF REACH.

▪ Most of the people face lot of performance pressure which results in Low grades.

▪ Just before you gonna start, there is something you need to do.

▪ Close your eyes, meditate for 3-5 minutes.

▪ When you feel better, its time to LEARN.

Studying Technique

▪ Start with topics which you think are easiest and then move to moderate and difficult.

▪ Make sure you have pen and paper ready next to you to jot down your doubts.

▪ Study at a pace for about 45 minutes. In the next 10 minutes, write down all things you can remember from the chapter you just studied.

▪ Compare it with your notes and check for missing points.

▪ If you are missing on a point or 2, MARK them for re-doing.

▪ Take a 5 minutes break and start studying again.

Studying Technique

▪ DO NOT use cell phone or PC during these 5 minutes, if often distracts you.

▪ If you feel tired sitting , walk around your study are while reading notes.

▪ Keep your books aside every 5 hours and listen to some =thing you like for 5-10 minutes.

▪ DONOT go for sad songs. They just screw the brains.

Revision

▪ If you have an exam tomorrow ,all you should do today is read the notes you made while studying.

▪ Re-work on IMPORTANT concepts and the concepts you MARKED after making notes.

Miscellaneous

▪ You know your body best so decide study time accordingly.

▪ DONOT pull an OVERNIGHT just before the exam day.

▪ Don’t go for heavy meals, carbohydrates make you sleepy.

▪ Go for fibrous food and juices.

▪ STOP studying at least 8 hours before exams. Let the brain relax and digest the information you fed it.
