How to sign an article license onWiley Author Services
CONFIRM AFFILIATION(S) AND FUNDER(S)
Sign in to wileyauthors.com and click ACTION REQUIRED in My Dashboard
SIGN LICENSE CONFIRMATION
Confirm Affiliation(s)
Click SIGN LICENSE.
The first step of the license signing process will be to confirm your affiliation(s) and funder(s)
STEP 1
If you have no affiliations, please tick I have no affiliations
Start typing to search for your institution and select from the drop down list. If you provided this information during manuscript submission, you will be asked to confirm your affiliation(s) instead
You can add or remove additional institutions
Once you have added all of your affiliations, click CONFIRM
Once you have entered all your funding details, click OK
Start typing to search for your funder and select it from the drop down below. If you provided this information during manuscript submission, you will be asked to confirm your funder(s) instead
If you have no funding, please tick I have not received any funding
Enter the GRANT NUMBER and GRANT RECIPIENT for your funding. Grant Number is a required field. If you have no Grant Number please add “N/A”. You can add multiple grants for each funder

Click SIGN LICENSE
If you are selecting OnlineOpen, please ensure you have signed your license before selecting
Select ownership type. This will tell us if you are authorized to sign this form or you need to obtain another signature in order to legally transfer or retain copyright

download, sign and upload a license
Click OK or if you need to confirm select SAVE FOR LATER

If you are publishing in a fully open access Journal, choose which license is right for you and click OK. Help text will appear when you click on an option

Some journals have the option to make your article open access through OnlineOpen. Click Yes or No, then OK
Depending on your affiliation, your article publication charge may be eligible to be covered by your institution.
If you selected Yes for open access through OnlineOpen, choose which license is right for you and click OK
If you did not select open access then select Standard copyright form and click OK

To sign your license, click SAVE & SIGN
Click OK in each section to mark as complete

Read the license
Add your name into the box
Click SIGN
If you need to change anything, click BACK before you sign
Tick to agree
If your ownership choice requires you to download and sign a license, you will be given an option to upload!

Click DOWNLOAD LICENSE to open a copy of your license
You can download and print your license – information is included about why you need to sign the license offline

Once you have signed your license, click UPLOAD LICENSE on My Dashboard in your Wiley Author Services account
You can also click DOWNLOAD DRAFT from the individual article record on My Dashboard if you require a PDF of the license
If you chose a copyright ownership during the license signing process that requires you to download, sign and upload the license, you will see this confirmation screen
Sign your License Offline and UploadSTEP 8
CONFIRM AFFILIATION(S) AND FUNDER(S) SIGN LICENSE CONFIRMATION
To ensure your license is approved by the Journal Production Editor, make sure:• the license has been
signed• you upload the correct
license document• the license has no
annotations in any way
You can upload your license (a maximum of six files) in PDF, JPG and PNG
Simply drag and drop filesyour files into the upload window or click CHOOSE FILES to select from your computer
Once completed, click UPLOAD
Use the arrows so the license appears in the correct order or click the trash symbols to delete them
You will be sent a confirmation email once you have submitted your license
Confirm the correct files have been loaded and click CONFIRM

If you signed the license online, a copy will be sent to your email
A copy of your license is also available in My Dashboard

Click SELECT OnlineOpen to be taken to the OnlineOpen form
If you selected open access for one of our hybrid journals, you have a time limit to submit your OnlineOpen form – after this time, the license will reset
