How To Setup Push Gmail on iPad or iPhone?

Looking for a way on how to setup push Gmail on iPad or iPhone? This tutorial will show you how to setup push Gmail on iPad/iPhone with your Gmail account for near-instant email notifications.

Note: This guide is written using iOS4 device. However, this should still work fine on iPad with firmware version 3.0 or later.

Step 1: Open the Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars section. Then click Add Account...

Step 2: Select Microsoft Exchange.

Step 3: Create a new account.

In the Email field, enter your entire email address (ie: [email protected]).

Do not enter anything in the Domain field. In the Username field, enter your entire email address (ie:

[email protected]). Enter your Gmail accounts password in the Password field. At the top right of the screen, click the Next button.

Step 4: Enter m.google.com in the Server field, then lick the Next button at the top right of the screen.

Step 5: On the following screen, ensure that the Mail switch is toggled to On, then click Save at the top right of the screen.
