HOW TO SET UP A USER IN COMMERCIAL BANKING ONLINE Step 1 Drop down the Administration menu at the top of the page and hover over Users. Click Create User . Step 2 Enter the user’s title, first name and last name. Then enter a unique username, unique email address, job title and telephone number. Note that the job title is optional. Then enter a business address. When entering an office address, the company name should be entered into line 1. If you enter a username that is already in use, you will see possible alternatives.

HOW TO SET UP A USER IN COMMERCIAL BANKING ONLINE

Step 1 Drop down the Administration menu at the top of the page and hover over Users. Click Create User.

Step 2 Enter the user’s title, first name and last name. Then enter a unique username, unique email address, job title and telephone number. Note that the job title is optional.

Then enter a business address. When entering an office address, the company name should be entered into line 1.

If you enter a username that is already in use, you will see possible alternatives.

Step 3 Select whether you would like the request to be processed immediately or on a specific future date. Select a future date by clicking the Calendar icon and selecting the date required. Please note that this is the date that we will start processing the request, so you won’t be able to access the system until about a week after this.

Step 4 Click Next to assign the user roles.

Step 5 Select the role types you want your user to have, for example, Audit or Payments and Cash Management Roles. If you are not adding these roles now, please click Next and skip to step 9.

How to assign roles

Step 6On the Assign User Roles screen, tick Payments and Cash Management. A list of all the Payment and Cash Management role will be displayed. You can also search for the Payments and Cash Management Roles you want to assign by entering the role’s name or description. Tick the roles you want to assign.

Step 7If you are a Panels user, select the Approver Type you want the user to have. This section will have a mandatory star if the user is an Approver within their role.

Step 8Select whether you want the user to be able to import Confidential Payments or files.Once you have assigned the user all the Payments and Cash Management Roles they need, click Next to assign homepages.

Step 9You’ll see a list of homepages that the user is entitled to access based on the roles you have assigned. This selects the homepage that the user will see when they first log in, which they can change. If the roles you assigned to the user to do have any Homepages associated with them, the user will be assigned an exceptions homepage which cannot be deselected.

Step 10Once you’ve assigned the user their homepage, click Next to check the user’s details.

Step 11Check the new user’s details. Click Edit in a section to go back and make changes.

Step 12Click Create User to confirm the new user. A message is displayed confirming the new user’s details have been saved, once you’ve authenticated the new user.

Step 13If your organisation has single administration, the new user will be created immediately, and their card and reader will be sent. If your organisation has dual administration, a workflow item will be created and another Administrator will need to review and approve the details in the Workflow page before the user is created. For your security, we recommend dual administration.

How to confirm a user

Step 14The user will be notified and will be told how to activate their new account once approved. Make sure you tell the user their username so they can complete their activation. The user will need to wait for their card and reader to be delivered in order to do this.

Step 15The user’s status will be Awaiting First Login until they’ve logged on for the first time and their Primary Administrator has activated their account.

Step 16 Click Create to create another user and Return to go back to your homepage.
