How To Print From Galaxy Note Directly
(or any Android Phone/Tablet)
• This slide shows a step by step guideline for
printing from Galaxy Note directly to printer.
• For printing from any Android phone, tablet, just
do the same.
Steps
1. Install StarPrint app
2. Connect printer to Galaxy Note

1. Install StarPrint
• Check Android version of the phone (available
for version 2.3 and up)
• Install
– Google Play:

• During installation, you will see a request to
allow installing printing library. Just tap OK to
continue.
2. Connect printer to Android phone
• Before printing, your phone and printer must be
connected and see each other.
• There are 3 type of connections you can use to
print from Android phone to printers: Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth, and USB
2. Connect printer to Android phone
2.1 Wi-Fi printing• Requirement: a Access Point
• Turn on Wi-Fi on Android phone and connect to AP.
• Connect printer to AP: use either method:
– If your printer have built-in Wi-Fi: Please read the printer manual to know how to connect to AP using Wi-Fi.
– If your printer has RJ45 port: you need a network cable. Plug one head to printer RJ45 port, and plug the other to port on AP.

2. Connect printer to Android phone
2.2 Bluetooth printing• Turn on Bluetooth on printer and Android phone
• Pair printer with phone

2.3 USB printing• Requirement:
– the Android phone must support USB host. Check
your phone manual to make sure about that.
– A USB cable to connect Android phone to printer
directly
• Use USB cable to connect the phone to printer directly.

After installing StarPrint and connect Android
phone to printer.
You are ready for first print!

3. Print with StarPrint
1: Select content
– Launch StarPrint
– On the main screen select
content to print
– Follow screens to select
content

– Make sure the phone
already connected to
printer (see Step 2:
Connect printer to
Android phone)
– Tap on [Select Printer] to
open printer screen
– StarPrint will
automatically search all
printers around and lists
them out.
– Select printer you want

– Check the print preview on
upper
– Change print setting if you
want and tap Preview to
update print preview
– Tap Print to print out
4. Print feedback
• For me, this is the most interesting
things about this app. You can
evaluate every print result with the
emotional faces.
• If the print result is bad, a
“Feedback” link will show up then
you can report issue.
Tip: Print feedback is a good way to improve print quality.
The app maker will collect all user feedback and give produce better upgrade.
So, do it hard!
5. Some most frequent Troubleshooting…
• StarPrint cannot find the printer: make sure the connect is through
• After updating StarPrint doesn’t work anymore? Please delete both StarPrint and APF core apps and then re-install them again
• Your print result has watermark across the page? Don’t worry! Just upgrade to plus version, the watermark will disappear forever! To know how to upgrade, check here.
