Biochem Problems (see selected End of Chapter Problems) involve two general areas:

1. Chemical Structure problems: a. sequencing proteins and nucleic acids,b. solving 3-D structures of proteins and nucleic

acids, and b. solving lipid and carbohydrate structures.

2. Chemical problems involving calculations (solubility, pKa, enzyme kinetics, thermodynamics: ΔG, redox). NOTE: Calculations resulting in

3. From the LearningCurve, think about what you got right (the material you now own) and the parts you

need to work on. Be accountable first to yourself. Build your Biochem knowledge on what you got right. Work on the parts you got wrong…so that now you own this whole section or chapter !

4. Do the EOC Problems….Class problems will be derived from the selected problems, and Case Studies rely on your problem solving skills that you are developing.
