    “How To” Poster Incite

Aer looking at all of the how to posters I have come up with an idea that I want to run with. I like the

idea of just using vectors and drawn images instead of photography in my poster. More oen than not I

see a bad design when using photography.

Something else that I have noced is the use of numbers. Most, if not all, use numbers to guide you

through the process. I want to challege myself not to use numbers and instead use other forms or sym-

bols to guide people through my poster. If this does not work out as well, then I will understand why

each of the posters has numbers in the design.

All of the posters that use photography which showcase how somethng is done all have a similar design

element. They all use squares and grids to seperate everything. Even some of the designs without photos

use a square design. I am wanng to start o my poster using a grid design, but I also want to make surethat most of my sketches have the squares hidden with qhite space. I do want to do some of the sketches

with the squares visible to see the dierence in design.

    Visual Images Incite

Before starng my search for visual images I knew that I wanted my design to be very at so I was able to

get more relatable images. I’ve noced that although an image is at you can sll add shadows for more

character into the image. These shadows need to be sharp though as not to add the dimenon.

The other images that I have found such as the peanut buer and the jelly jars are to help me come up

with the objects I want to put on the poster. There are so many ways that I could draw just a piece of

bread so I gathered my favorite images I saw.
