How to Play the Drum Kit

Bonus Tips!A colon : means to repeat from the beginning.

When playing a Rudiment, start slow. Keep a steady speed

for at least one minute without speeding up or slowing down.

When you can do that very easily, then try it faster…

just remember, maintain your tempo (speed)!

When you look at a Rudiment, you’ll see the letters R and LThey stand for Right and Left.

The �rst Rudiment is the single stroke.
