HOW TO OVERCOME
FEAR
ZIP YOURSELF INTO THE WORD
FEAR NOT
His Promise
Jeremiah 1:19 (New International Version)
They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.
Fear is our ultimate enemy. A very patronising, largely unfunny, basically unwelcomed guest with an enormous
capacity to cripple who we are emotionally, financially, physically and reveal how shallow we are spiritually
by freezing our faith.
A quick look at an array of definitions of fear on the web will be absolutely
rewarding as you coast along progressing your spiritual reflexes and widening your spectrum of knowledge, that way you have a good foundation
and something to work with.
What is FEAR?What and who we should
fear?
To be afraid or feel anxious or apprehensive about a possible or
probable situation or event.
Fear could also be defined as an emotion experienced in
anticipation of some specific pain or danger (usually accompanied by
a desire to flee or fight)
The next definition is a departure from the last two
definitions.
HOLY FEAR
You can overcome fear by zipping yourself into the word in the scriptures
a fabulous array of spiritual guides nicely packaged to help you face
contemporary challenges.
JOSHUA’S RECIPEIt’s the realistic wish of God for
everyone to live as conquerors, not freaked out by stormy circumstances
and trials. Hence, He gave Joshua the recipe in
Joshua 1:7-9
INTIMACY WITH THE WORDWhen you make intimacy with the
word in the scriptures your top priority, you will tap into this divine
power enjoyed by Joshua. Then your stormy fears will end with a
cute storyline

Dealing With Fear
God’s CommandJoshua 1:8 (New International Version)
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
How to Overcome fear
1. Study the word and Meditate therein day and night.
2. Then observe all that is written therein.3. Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid
neither be thou dismayed (Application of faith)4. The LORD thy God is with thee witheresoever
thou goest
Joshua 1:7-8 Portrayed very convincingly a promise and strict
recipe coupled with the expectation when we observe to
do what is in the word. It is impossible to observe and
meditate on the word without first studying the word
Study the wordAnd meditate
on it
Observe what you have studied
Apply faithBe not afraid
neither be thou dismayed
Overcoming fear
We need to be spiritually updated and much more coordinated in our responses to upset fear. A good understanding of the flavour of God’s language and the intimacy with the word is the reason why some Christians live as more than conquerors.
“If you fail to upset the fear that has imprisoned you, by using the word God has given you, that fear will be quick to highlight how hollow you
have become as a Christian..........”

All through the pages of the Bible He continually told us
“Fear Not….. I am with thee”“Fear not….I am God”
This obvious supernatural, divine comforting words guarantees consistent reaping of happiness if only we can continue to apply the wisdom that is in the word.

Isaiah 59:19 (New International Version)
From the west, men will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.
Isaiah 59:19 (Amplified Bible)So [as the result of the Messiah's intervention] they shall [reverently] fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives].
