How to Make Miss La Sen Mid Autumn roll lantern

The Mid –Autumn festival is coming in some Asian countries such as China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hongkong, Singapore... The festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar on the night of the full moon. In this event, the adults usually give children the lanterns. Children often hold the lanterns in various forms, shapes, sizes, materials, colors and play together in the dark under the full moon. You can make the lantern easily with Miss La Sen icon, the character in some cartoon clips, boardgame, spring rolls etc.

1Download this pattern and print it out in A3 size paper.

2Cut 2 rounds on the cardboard, one for the top and one for the bottom .

3Cut 2 brackets on the cardboard like the picture.

4Cut the rectangle sheet to roll into the body of the lantern.

11Cut Miss La Sen head on the foam.

12Cut the flower, headband and glue them on the head.

Glue the eyes, cheeks, mouth and shoes, arms together.

15Use the glue-gun to glue Miss La Sen doll on the lantern. Use a string to hang the lantern and a small stick to hold it,  tie a tassel at the bottom. Done.
