On LinkedIn
◦ Step 1.
◦ Use the APP on your phone as it’s easier than using your desktop because it literally lets you skip a step.
◦ If you don’t have the App just download it from your app store it’s free and much easier to use than the desktop version of LinkedIn.
◦ Pro Tip: The iPhone app lets you put more characters into your headline than the desktop version does.
◦ Open your App. Enter your ideal customer type in the search bar. You can see in the illustration below I have chosen business owners

◦ Once you have entered your ideal customer click
search and you will be shown a list of profiles
containing the words business owner.
◦ Step 2.
◦ Click on the tab called People as shown here
You will now be presented with a list of people who have the words business owner mentioned
in their profiles. See the illustration below…
Step 3
Click on the Connections link and choose 2nd tier connections as shown in the illustration
below…
◦ Now click on Show results and you will
be presented with a list of people who are
your ideal customers who you can now
send connection requests to. See the
illustration
Step 4
Click the little person Icon with the + sign on
the right-hand side to send a connection
request.
There is no need (and I wouldn’t advise) you
send a message with your request as often
these messages don’t actually get seen until
the person accepts your connection request.
Send 15 – 20 requests every day. Typically 5 out of the 20 will
connect with you so in a week that’s a growth of 35 and in a
month you will have grown your audience by at least 150 people.
Do this EVERY day from now on as the more people you send
connection requests to, the more connections you will have
accepted and the faster your audience will grow.

This guide assumes you already have your
Instagram account set up and ready to
grow.
If you don’t already have it, you will need
to download the Instagram App to your
phone then follow the following steps.
Step 1
Go to the little search icon at the bottom
of the screen. See the illustration…
Once you click on the search it
opens up the search bar for you to
key in your ideal customer details.
I’ve chose Life coach as you can
see from the illustration…
Pro Tip: You can quickly see who
you are already following as it will
either show their latest posts or
show that you are following them
as you can see from the illustration
above.
Step 2
Find someone you are not already
following (your dream life coaching for
example) and click on the entry.
You will then have their profile opened
up for you to view as in the illustration
Just click the blue follow button
and that’s it.
Follow 10 – 15 people per day,
every day from now on.

Step 1
Download the APP to your phone as this
is not a platform that particularly likes
desktops.
Go to the little search icon at the
bottom of the screen as shown in the
illustration
This will then open the search bar
for you to enter your ideal
customer into. I have used Life
coach again as an example here as
you can see in the illustration
Step 2
As you can see, this brings up a list of
people I am already following. I want to
find new people, so I need to click on
where it says Life Coach underneath the
search bar (see previous illustration). It
will then show you a screen that has tabs
across the top. Click on the tab labelled
People
You will then see a screen that looks like
the one opposite. Now just click the
follow button
Step 3
You will now have a list of people on Twitter who have your
search criteria in their profile or bio.
Simply go down your list and follow as many as possible.
There is no limit to how many people you can follow on
Twitter but I would try and follow between 15 and 20 per
day, every day to begin with.

Of all the platforms there are today, Facebook is by far the most
difficult to grow an audience on these days.
Algorithms are partly to blame, and Facebook’s own greed is also a
factor. Facebook no longer wants you to be able to promote YOUR
business on THEIR business for free.
This is why you will have seen hundreds of notifications trying to get you
to pay for ads or run boosted posts.
The good new is, you can still grow an audience on Facebook for free
but you have to put in some leg work and forget the old ways that
simply don’t work any more.
So how can we grow an audience on Facebook?
Well, for me it’s been Facebook groups. Groups are great for
gathering together people with a common interest or goal who are
ready and willing to learn and help others.
The mere nature of a group means that they are usually more
engaged than a page because you can build relationships with people
within a group that is far more difficult to do on a page.
So how can we grow a group?
Step 1
I would do this on your laptop as it is easier than trying to do it on
your phone APP
Go to your Facebook home page and click group. See the illustration
Step 2
Click on the + icon at the top of the screen as shown in the
illustration below…
You will then be shown a window like this…
Choose Group from the selection
You will then be shown a
window like this one…
Just complete the information
and create your group
Once the group is created you need to go and find people to become
members of it. But don’t just go and ask your friends and family as
these are not going to be your ideal customer.
What you need to do is post the link to the group in all your other
social media posts and invite people to join.
Tell them what the group is about, tell them what they will get in
return for joining it and tell them where they need to go to join.
Here is an example of a post I have put out
on LinkedIn…
The short link is created by LinkedIn when
you put in the whole Facebook URL
As you can see, I’ve enticed them with some
facts and told them where they can find the
answer to improve their social media
marketing.
I have also shared the link of my Facebook
group so that they can just click and join.
Most of my members find me via my social media posts and this has
helped me to build a good network of like-minded people who are
interested in what I have to say and sell.
Over time, those within the group get to know me, like me and trust
me (or they leave the group and that’s okay too).
Once people know, like and trust you, they are far more likely to buy
from you.
This is by no means a quick strategy, but it will be far quicker than
trying to build a connected and engaged community using your
Facebook page.
Remember though, you need to give your group members a reason
for joining and a reason for staying. You need to make sure you
are sharing great information, hints, tips, ideas, offers and other
helpful stuff.
A good Facebook group is worth its weight in gold so I would
encourage you to create one – but only if you have the time to
devote to it, otherwise it will just wither and die.
