HOW TO FIX CLOGSMoon Valley Plumbing
UNBLOCK TRAPS
➤ One of the most common areas for blockage.
➤ Snakes can unclog many traps, but sinks usually need to be dismantled for the blockage to be removed.
➤ Step 1: Undo the sink trap with a bowl ready to catch any water.
➤ Step 2: Remove debris and wash the trap with clean water and an old toothbrush.
➤ Step 3: Replace the trap
UNCLOG THE SINK DRAIN
➤ Bathroom sink clogs are fairly common and usually occur near the pop-up assembly of the drain.
➤ Step 1: Remove the spring tab from the drain plug.
➤ Step 2: Remove the ball valve from the sink trap
➤ Step 3: Remove the pop-up plug and then remove the debris clogging the sink.
CLEAR STOPPED-UP TOILETS
➤ If flush water rises to the rim and then drains slowly, the toilet trap or drain is blocked.
➤ Step 1: Pull a section of the snake out of the drum
➤ Step 2: Tighten the retaining nut on top of the snake body
➤ Step 3: Rotate the drum of the snake so it burrows into the waste system to dislodge the blockage.
FIX WEAK WATER PRESSURE IN THE SHOWER
➤ Reduced shower flow is usually due to limescale buildup. This can easily be removed with a descaling product.
➤ Step 1: Unscrew the shower head from the hose
➤ Step 2: Unscrew the spray plate and immerse it in descaling solution.
➤ Step 3: Leave it in the solution for specified length of time. Flush any remaining scale from the pipes before replacing the shower head.
