HOW TO CLEAN UP YOUR
iTunes LIBRARY

Delete All Broken and Unusable Files
Broken or unfound files will appear with the ! Symbol next to the song.
Delete all of these files they are useless.
Delete simply right clicking the song and pressing the delete option or by highlighting the song and pressing your delete key on the keyboard
Delete All Old, Unused, and Out
of Date Music Filter through
your library and decide what you do and don’t want.
Once you figure out what your deleting, once again highlight with shift and delete.
*This is a great opportunity to delete that 50 Cent or N’Sync in your library or anything
to that extent. Make Sure to keep the Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga though.
Troubleshooting
If you accidentally delete something you didn’t want to, don’t worry it will be waiting to be rescued in the recycling bin.
Getting All Artists and Albums to
Match Select and highlight all
songs by the artist.
Right click and then select get info .
Go to the Info tab and type the desired artist name for all of the songs
Press enter or click Ok when finished.
You can repeat the same process for Album Titles by just typing in the Album Title space instead of Artist.
*This is to prevent having 18 different Lil’ Wayne on your iPod
Getting Album Art
Find the Album Title.
Go to google.com.
Type in or Paste the album name.
Go to Google images.
Select an image. (make sure the size is at least 300x300)
Right click and Copy the image.
Putting the Album Art in Your
Library Highlight the Album or all
songs in the album.
Right click and click on Get info.
Right click the area that says Artwork.
Click paste.
Your artwork will then appear in the box as a smaller image but you should be able to see the image.
Press Ok or Enter.
iTunes will then ask you if you want to changes the Info for all of the following items press Yes.
Fixing Song Titles
Select and highlight a song.
Double click the name of the song.
Type what ever text you need (preferably in proper grammar using things such as capital letters at the beginning of title words).
Press Enter or Ok when finished.
You can repeat this process for items such as Artist, Album, and Genre.
Getting Songs in Order to Sync
to iPod You can select what
music will go on to your iPod by going to the music section on your device.
From there you can then choose what Artists and Playlists you want to appear on your iPod by simply checking off the boxes with the titles.
If you want all your music, make things simple and press Entire music library.
When finished press Sync.
Changing Settings on iPod
If you change the settings on your iPod you will save your changes by pressing Apply.
After the iPod will automatically Sync to your iPod.
Final Result You will begin to notice that your iPod
itself looks better and feels more
organized.
Music is now easier to manage and
keep managed.
You will no longer have to search
through a bunch of artists or songs to
find what you want it will all be in
order.
The convenience is great.
