Could you agree with most of these thoughts?
• When I look at the application forms and see the kids I sent out last year – and now I see what has happened in this short spell of time, I am always impressed!• They seem to have understood the values of the great Rotary Family.• Their personality seems to have received a major boost.• Many of them have got a much wider horizon and cultural understanding.• They have found their way not only through Chicago, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo Airport, but also through difficult phases in host family, school and with newly
gained friends.• And now and then I come across absolutely outstanding young rebounds…• Can I accept that they disappear into Rotarian No-where, far away from Rotary???
If all this is true, then I should
• not only offer a short „debriefing“ session• offer these young people a chance to stay close to Rotary, the Rotary Family• offer those interested in further contact a field of action, of service• build a trustworthy basis for joint action• help to found a Rotex organisation (if necessary, if not started by the young themselves)
