This small course attempts to show how we can all become better online Tutors, sometimes called E-tutors.

Although it will not take too long to read all the text of this course it is important that you participate and reflect on the various parts - particularly on the elements that refer specifically to online learners.

The course contains a Resource Section which contains information on Learning Theories but the main emphasis of this course is on the Learner and how they learn and how we, as E-tutors, must learn new paradigms to communicate with a diversity of E-learners.

The philosophy of the above Confucianism is at the heart of this course and will be referred to either directly or indirectly throughout.

Although this course can be read and understood in isolation the best results will be achieved if several prospective E-tutors were to learn together and to engage with each other as online learners using this course as a resource..

This course is supported by several types of resources, most, as you might expect, are available via the Internet, but some resources are internal to the course and you will be invited to read some of these as part of the course.

The word course is a bit too generous for this collection of my ramblings.

Over the years we have used and accumulated various Web resources for our presentations and have produced various documents on e-learning and online tutoring.

So here we have glued some of them together as one dip in and out resource
