How to Allow Remote Access from Your Computer
• Hit the ‘Start’ menu and click ‘All Programs’. Choose ‘Accessories’ and hit ‘Remote Desktop Connection’.
• A pop up box appears. Here you need to enter the name of the computer to connect in the textbox. For instance, if you do not know the name of the computer, click the drop down menu to know the name.
• Next click ‘Options’ situated at the bottom left corner of the box. A new dialogue box would appear containing a list of tabs on the top. Click ‘Display’ and it will allow you to alter the size of the remote desktop. You can do
this by dragging the pointer under ‘Display Configurations’.
• Hit ‘Local Resources’ on the same page. Check ‘Printers’ and ‘Clipboard’ boxes under ‘Local devices and resources’.
• Hit ‘Experience’ tab. Now you can change the connection speed between the host computer and client system by clicking the drop down menu and then selecting the suitableconnection. Check the checkbox located at the
bottom left corner in order to automatically reconnect if you find that the connection is distressed.
• Next, a dialogue box appears asking you to type in your username and password. Enter the username and password and click ‘OK’. The process would take several minutes to remote access the host computer.
