How the duck got its quack

One day long ago a family of ducks sat

around an egg watching and

waiting. Then all of a sudden they

heard a crack then another crack

crack crackthen…

wham! The egg shell goes flying and out pop's a baby duck

This baby duck grew to be the

best of them all. In the morning he

would sing beautiful song just like a bird

flying from tree to tree. He would

go to the pond and get some fish to bring back to

the village to share with everyone.

One day duck was walking with his mom when they saw a tree an oak tree to be exact. What he didn't know was that it

was the tree he was born beside.

he heard that he was born beside this special tree he would walk by the tree every day. He sat around it. He played around it and

he even tried to climb it once but it didn’t work.

One day when he was collecting fish he looked over the water and saw a

big pile of sticks laying right by the lake. He

walked over and asked “why are you sitting in a pile?” one of the sticks

said “beaver put us here. Duck was so excited to meet beaver but before he took another step he heard a chomp than a

crash and when he dared to look…

He saw his tree laying on the ground and there stood beaver!

Duck was so mad that beaver cut down his tree. They were fighting all night telling each other to leave. But no one left and finally duck got so sick of beaver not leaving. So mad that

beaver cut down his tree that he made this really bad noise quack quack quack.

Beaver got really scared and ran off and no one saw him again.

To this day you can still hear duck quacking to scare

beaver away reminding him of

the time he cut down his favorite tree. Telling him

to never come back. And that is

why a duck quacks
