Calories• Calories provide a measure of how much energy is
in each serving of that food
• 40 calories/serving=low• 100 calories/serving=moderate• 400 calories/serving=high

Total Fat, Cholesterol & Sodium• Diets rich in saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol,
and sodium have been linked to heart disease and high blood pressure
