Castleton Public Library Summer Reading Program

On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!

[

This year’s Summer Reading Program is focused on health and fitness.

We’ll have tons of exciting programs to attend and fun activities to complete,

keeping your kids and teens engaged and active!

Not only is the Summer Reading Program tons of fun for the whole family, it also helps your kids stay

motivated to read and learn. The program helps maintain reading skills, and develops positive

attitudes about books and the library that can help reduce the “summer slide.” Over the summer,

students risk losing some of the achievement gains they made during the previous school year, but

together we can keep your kids on track! Our Summer Reading Program also has an early literacy

component for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, and enrichment programs for adults.

Events! Recurring We have a few events that will occur more than once this summer. We’ll have

Story Hour and Block Party every week, but you should also keep an eye out for our

Sidewalk Science Series and our Sculpture Walks! Recurring activities will also be listed in

eye-catching colors, so be sure you don’t miss out!
