Online Test (OLT) System Features

Introduction

1. Addmen Online Test system (OLT) is a generic platform which can be used to conduct any type of Online

Test according to different exam patterns. It is not specific to any test pattern.

2. You can add a link to your website homepage as "Online Test", and connect this easy Online Test Software

to your website.

3. If you want to register students for Online Test from your website, then add the software's "Demo

Registration Interface" to your website.

4. Institutes Name and logo is visible all over the Software, no identity of Addmen is disclosed.

5. Payment Gateway is available in software, can be activated if Administrator has subscribed to account.

6. Many Branches, Courses and Batches can be created.

7. Admin can create multiple sub users with limited permission.

8. The layout of the Test screen might differ from specific exam patterns but majorly all features are

available.

Candidate Registration

1. Existing Candidates can be registered by Admin.

2. New candidates can be registered from website.

3. Username/Password can be sent by email or SMS after registration. For this an existing email account can

be configured but SMS credits to be purchased.

Test Definition

1. A test can be created for selected Branches/ Groups/ Classes/ Batches.

2. Any candidate will see tests that are applicable for his branch/group only.

3. Test can be defined for any number of questions.

4. Test Instruction and Test Solution files can also be uploaded for in .html and .pdf formats.

Test Duration and Period

1. Test can be defined for any duration in minutes.

2. Date and period of the test can be set by the user. Period of test is different from duration of test.

For e.g. the test duration is 60 minutes, but activation period can be set as Sunday 3:00pm to 8:00pm.

3. The test will be active for students only during this period.

4. A candidate can login any time before expiry of period.

5. Timer is maintained to keep control over test duration and allow re-login in case of accidental logouts,

candidate will get his remaining time after re-login.

Question Paper (Creation & Uploading)

1. You can make your own tests i.e. question paper is your own.

2. The question paper is made in a MS Word file in a specified format.

3. The question paper can contain text, images, diagram, formulas and any font; it can support various

structures of questions.

4. Question paper input word file can be made by manually by typing selected questions.

6. All questions and their options are typed in one file. On uploading of this file, the software will

automatically split questions and options according to online test pattern.

7. Bilingual questions can also be presented if required. The software does not do the translation. The second

language text must also be input by the user in the specified format.

Question Grouping & Sections

1. Subject wise / section wise grouping of questions can be done.

2. Topic tags can be created and applied to questions within a subject/section. For ex. Physics-Light where

“Physics” is subject tag and “Light” is topic tag within Physics.

3. On the candidate test screen, the questions can be listed grouped by section.

4. It is possible to make all questions compulsory.

5. It is possible to restrict the candidate to start another section before completing current section.

Question Order & Shuffling

1. The software automatically creates multiple sets of the uploaded question paper so that each candidate

gets a randomly shuffled question sequence to avoid cheating.

2. Options numbering can also be changed from A, B, C, D to 1,2,3,4 respectively.

Marking Schemes

1. Multiple marking schemes can be created and applied to any question.

2. The software shall support the marking pattern of any type of MCQ Tests.

Results

1. As per the policy of the Institute, the candidate can see instant result if allowed by administrator or the

results will show after all students have completed test.

2. A complete detailed graphical analysis report and test analysis report can be generated by the system.

3. If you have Addmen OMR Software, then Cumulative results from both Online Test and OMR Test can be

shown.

4. Output can be obtained in printable format or exported to Access, Excel, DBF, CSV or XML formats.

Candidate Panel

1. Candidate can update his own basic information and current password if allowed by administrator.

2. ID card of the Logged-in Candidate can be directly viewed in pdf file.

3. Test Schedule and Time Table can be downloaded according to Batch/Group.

4. Practice sheet and Assignments can be downloaded according to Batch/Group.

5. Study Materials can be provided to Candidate in Downloads Panel.

6. If a test is created in advance, then before the activation period it will show in the list with label “Coming

Soon”.

7. If the candidate has not started a test within the active period, it will show the label “Expired” after the

active period is over, otherwise “Take Test” button will be shown if Candidate has not appeared for the

Test, and if has taken test then “View Result” will be shown.

Server Technical Specifications for Installing on your own Server 1. A Server running on MS Windows server 2008 with MS SQL 2008/2012 shall be required.

2. The software user interface can be run on any current day PC running on Windows OS.

3. In case you have purchased the Online Test software and are going to establish your own server, then please

install the server according to specifications given below.

a. Partitions Recommended : C: 50 GB, D:100 GB

b. Static IP (For Access by Internet)

c. Two LAN Cards (One for Static IP, other for Local Access)

d. Windows Server 2008 32 Bit (standard or higher)

e. SQL Server 2008/2012 (standard or higher)

f. Install and Configure IIS with .NET

g. .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

4. Other provisional arrangements (as and when required)

OFFLINE PANEL FOR ONLINE TEST 1. Candidates who do not have a continuous access to internet can download the tests and solve them offline.

2. The solution can later be uploaded to the online server, where the results would be compiled and displayed.

3. The software user interface can be run on any PC running on Windows OS (XP Service Pack 3 or higher).
