REQUIREMENTS FOR ‘A’ LEVEL• Norm combination of subjects

– 3 H2 + H1 + General Paper (GP) + Project Work (PW) + MTL– At least one of the H2 or H1 is from a contrasting discipline

• GENERAL PAPER - H1 subject over 2 years• PW i.e. Project Work – H1 subject, examined in

October/November 2018

• Science – Bio, Chem, Phy, Maths & Further Maths• Arts – Econs, Geog, Hist & Lit

Mathematics – Must have obtained Distinction in ‘O’ Level

Additional Mathematics. – Must have obtained a grade of ‘C6’ or better in ‘O’

Level Physics.

CRITERIA• SCIENCES:

– Phy (A level) …… Phy or Comb Sci (Phy/?)– Chem (A level ) …… Chem or Comb Sci (Chem/?)– Bio (A level ) …… Bio or Comb Sci (Bio/?)

• Did only one Comb Sci?

CRITERIA• Students who have taken ‘O’ Level Combined

Science, without any other Pure Sciences, are eligible for only ONE H2 Science subject.

• Eligible students may opt to take the 2nd science subject at H1 if they have grades of ‘A1’ in all the three subjects: Mathematics, Additional Mathematics and Combined Science.

CRITERIA• Geography/History/Economics/Literature:

– No prerequisite, have interest in the subject, be able to write well. Should have at least B3

• Knowledge & Inquiry (KI) / English Language & Linguistics (ELL):– Must pass the selection test– KI can only be taken as the 4th H2 subject.– Attend subject briefing for more Information (LT1)

MOTHER TONGUE SUBJECTS H1 General Studies in Chinese (GSC):

– Obtained B3 or better in ‘O’ level Higher Chinese
