At Best Western, we believe that big ideas aren’t born as much as they are built. Built on a foundation of

experience and fresh thinking.

Our prototypes are the sum of over 60 years of experience and leadership in the hotel industry,

resulting in over 4,100* properties in 80 countries. They also reflect our forward thinking in keeping the

Best Western brand fresh and relevant to a variety of markets.

But equally important to our experience is yours, as a Best Western Member. We value the individuality of

each and every Member by building flexibility into our prototypes. Each can be adapted to specific size and

location preferences. Each can be converted to all-suite properties.

We also extend to our Members cost savings and buying power through Best Western Design and Supply,

unparalleled brand exposure as part of The World’s Largest Hotel Chain® and a level of support, accountability

and expertise that are points of pride for us at Best Western.

Best Western Atrea’s signature feature, a porte cochere topped with a gracefully flared roof, lends an immediate impression of calm and sophistication.

The Best Western Atrea is the sum of our vision and experience as The

World’s Largest Hotel Chain®. And it shows in every detail — strikingly

different architectural features; a versatile interior layout; and a

flexible design which can expand the public areas into a dramatic wing

or streamline everything into a single structure.

To entice guests to a totally unique hotel experience, our architects

and designers created an exterior that breaks through the clutter of

competing hotels. An artistic blend of metal, glass, EIFS and masonry

that is urban inspired yet compatible with any suburban location.

Best Western atrea: designed to succeed.

The beauty of the Best Western Atrea design lies not only in its

aesthetic appeal, but in its adaptability. Best Western Atrea Central, an

uncompromising variation of the original Atrea prototype, offers investors

an alternative streamlined design.

To create a more compact layout, architects designed the public

and back of house areas into the building itself, locating them on the

first floor, with guestrooms starting on the second floor. The result

is a single-structure design with the same high impact and upscale

amenities of the original Best Western Atrea prototype.

“Owners and managers will find great

flexibility with the modular layout and

the options it gives them in utilizing

public space. The upper mid-scale,

select-service hotel is generating great

interest with guests, in particular today’s

fast-paced business travelers who have

come to expect the features and design

elements of big-city properties.”

(A) The Registration Desk: Illuminated by a two-story stream of

natural light and set against a sculpted wall resembling waves of frozen

water, the registration desk is the focal point of Best Western Atrea’s

multi-functional public area.

The refreshing simplicity of Best Western Atrea’s exterior moves

indoors to a free flowing gathering place where one experience leads

to another. Guests can relax in private zones separated by half walls

and bench seating or move about between the breakfast area, media

center, registration desk and bar. Energized by natural light and

enhanced by white marble, cocoa-stained wood and natural materials,

Best Western Atrea’s public areas will surprise and delight even the

most sophisticated and demanding business traveler.

(B) The Breakfast Area: Designed to function long after breakfast is

served, this area can transform into a hospitality gathering place, an

overflow to the bar, even a reception area for the conference center.

An inviting curved bench seat follows the curve of the floor.

Flexible, flowing space that

accommodates every guest.

(C) The Lounge: Design flexibility at its finest, the bar can be different

things to different properties: coffee bar, snack bar, traditional bar

or service bar for different types of areas. With backlit glass, under

counter lighting and a length of 40 feet, it provides a visual and

functional point of interest to the Best Western Atrea public area.

(D) The Media Room: Best Western Atrea’s open design allows for

privacy as well. Guests can slip away to the media area to utilize the

hotel’s wireless Internet. They can enjoy intimate conversation, watch

TV on four flat screen monitors or simply relax in the cozy ambience

created by the ventless fire boxes that span the length of the room.

(E) The Conference Space: The Best Western Atrea has large and

small conference rooms that can be easily divided to accommodate

large meetings or intimate gatherings. Back-of-the-house food and

beverage capabilities assure that the needs of planners and attendees

are exceeded.

Guestroom designs and room standards are specific to their respective prototype and therefore can only be used as designated.

The upper mid-scale interior brings urban cool to any location.

Blending materials such as stone, polished wood, metal and glass with

textures and subtle colors, our designers have created an overall effect

that is fresh, with amenities that make sense both in terms of cost and

function. Technological conveniences add to the overall comfort and

ease of the guest experience. And all casegoods are value engineered,

to give investors a cost effective way to make a dramatic entry into the

upper mid-scale market.

The Best Western Atrea Prototype Guestroom: A translucent,

Japanese-inspired screen, three-point lighting, richly polished

furnishings and natural colors create a spa-like environment. Form

and function promise a good night’s sleep: A plush leather headboard,

crisp high thread-count linens and bedding exceed today’s guest

standards. In the bathroom, a custom vanity with open shelves and

generous granite countertop gives definition to understated luxury. A

chest, which can be used to hold a flat-panel television, underscores

the simple, smart thinking behind the Best Western Atrea design.

Subtle, sophisticated, fresh and natural.

A time-proven blend of tradition, individuality and brand identity, the

mid-scale prototype perpetuates our 60-year tradition of leadership.

Based on a single design, it offers investors a choice of three styles

which can be built cost efficiently and adapt easily to size, room type,

location and personal taste.

With its natural blend of materials and earthy tones, the Stoneridge

(pictured left and top right) promises guests lodge-like comfort and luxury.

Strong and stately, Heritage (middle), conveys market strength in a

sea of mid- scale properties. Vibrant colors and architectural accents

transport Montecito (bottom) guests to a warm and sunny climate.

The Stoneridge Prototype Guestroom: A one-of-a-kind headboard

created by Best Western designers calls out to guests that this is no

cookie-cutter hotel – a point of difference that sets Best Western

properties apart from the competition. The smartly designed desk has

a built-in power strip for easy port access. Guests can adjust ceiling,

tabletop and floor lighting to suit their mood and enjoy every modern

amenity from the comfort of plush, overstuffed furniture – all of which

comes at the greatest possible value for guests and investors alike.

Best Western atrea is a Home run!

“This was our first development with Best Western and we

were not sure what to expect, considering that the Best

Western Atrea was a new prototype.

We were as blown away by the final product as our guests

have been. We have other upper mid-scale brands and Best

Western Atrea will compete toe-to-toe with any of them

for style and quality. Combine this with the Best Western

operating model — which gives me the freedom to run my

business — and it’s a home run!”
