Better Managed Wired/Wireless Network Access

The HSIA wireless and wired LAN infrastructure management platform needs to be highly efficient and reliable. IP Connect has a proven track record in delivering maximum up-time and reliability to hotels groups and estates on a global scale. Designed to manage the authentication and billing of guests, IP Connect provides a role based intuitive management platform for the guests and conference delegates using this HSIA service.

IP Connect also provides complete tracking of user activity and complies with the legal requirements dictated by many in country laws. The solution can be cloud based or offered as an appliance. Software only models are available and it supports complete virtualization.

IP Connect provides the ability to control Quality of Service (QoS) levels, based on factors such as access speed, bandwidth usage and service duration. Through consolidated reporting and user data collection, IP Connect allows detailed reporting, enhancement of user profiles and better user recognition.

The ability to Interface with leading PMS applications is important. IP Connect has integration to many platforms including the mainstream Opera, OnQ and Protel solutions. This interconnect provides richer guest experience including the ability to charge internet access costs directly to the guest account, view PMS stored text messages on the guest portal, view detailed bill on guest portal, check out via the internet, and post voucher values.

Additionally IP Connect creates opportunities for hotels to gain extra revenue. Hotels can create their own billing plans and payment can be made in different ways including full voucher management and credit card. Unlimited billing and access plans can be number of pre-paid, post-paid or free plans which are subscriber profile based. IP Connect supports multiple credit card clearing houses. Revenue reports can be generated based on rooms, floors or guest types.

IP Connect Cloud offers the ability to create and display marketing messages. Marketing message content can be based on user profile based parameters in order to target particular user groups. Marketing message content can be stored in the IP Connect Cloud or can be viewed from different external sources.

Personal Area networking (PAN):

Personal Area networking (PAN): A Personal Area Network is a dedicated, secure personal guest network where the guest can connect all of their own devices. A PAN can be created by setting up a unique wireless SSID controlled by the guest with a user created credentials.

IP Connect Cloud Service supports auto-login as a method of joining the WIFI. The additional advantage for the guest with a PAN Wi-Fi profile is that they can be automatically be re-activated upon guest arrival and check-in. This enables hotel wide and even group/chain wide automatic PAN re-activation. PAN on IP Connect Cloud Service provides the guest their own network where all of the personal devices can simply connect to.

Hotspot 2.0 on IP Connect Cloud Service:

This technology now available on modern smart devices enables the user to load a security certificate on their smart device. This certificate provides a secured and personal Wi-Fi network. Security certificates are available for IOS, Android and Microsoft smart devices. The security certificate has to be accepted by the user on a single occasion. It is user/smart device driven and therefore independent of the Wi-Fi infrastructure. As it’s device driven, it’s guest profile linked and can be automatically allocated to the same user when they checked-in again, into the same hotel or another hotel, managed through IP Connect Cloud Service. HotSpot 2.0 on IP Connect Cloud Service, allows connectivity in a room VLAN, so the user’s smart device are visible within the room network (Apple TV, Chromecast). This makes streaming media to in-room TV’s very easy.
