Hose Test Equipment

Attach inline pressure gauge at pump

panelA section of 2 1/2 will need to be used between the pressure gauge and

the hose being tested

Attach the gated valve between 2 1/2

section and hose to be tested

The gated valve should be open at this time

Use necessary adaptors to attach a nozzle at the

end of hose you are testing to allow you to bleed

the air out of the system

Charge the line, idle pressure is

adequate at this point

Use a marker to mark all hoses at

couplingsThis will give you a visual if a coupling is loose on the

hose

Bleed the line until all air is

removed

Once the line is bled, close the gated

valve

Pressurize the line for three

minutes

Pressurize at 200 lbs for 4” & 5”

300 lbs for hose 2 1/2 “ or

smaller
