Workshops• Content: developing valuable academic and
professional skills– E.g. Advanced presentation skills, time management, visualisation
of a scientific concept, PechaKucha, Critical thinking.
• Practical information:– Attendance at 4 out of 6 mandatory – 3 hours per workshop, scheduled regularly– Makeup assignment– Located at EDLAB, Tapijnkazerne– Interfaculty mix of students

Group Assignment: ExcelliUM Magazine• Student teams: ±5 students from same faculty• From your academic perspective: contributions to
webmagazine ExcelliUM– E.g. a news article, video, infographic, research proposal,
slideshow, photo report, interview, etc. – Suggestions welcome!
• Central theme: “Societal Values of the 21st Century”– Position paper on the apparent distortion of moral standards

DIY Lecture Series
• What? 6 lectures on the topic of this year’s theme organized by YOU– Different faculty perspectives
• When? 6 evenings, between January and June
• Who?– Organized by student committee– Attendance = mandatory at 4 out of 6 for all
honours+ students
