Incoming Global Citizen Programme
HONG KONG
Purpose of CEEDership: • Assisting the organizing committee to organize and being the observer of quality assurance for the current iGCP project • Facilitating the LC planning for the upcoming iGCP project and assisting in its product development
Duration : 15th June to 25th July (5-‐6 weeks)
Project engaged : CEEDers will engage in a project “NAKUPENDA”. It is a Cross-‐cultural Leadership Development Project that promotes three main values: ‘Love, Respect and Embrace’ Aim: to gather international youth power to spread our values and make positive impact to the Hong Kong society Bene8its of joining CEEDership in Hong Kong : Experiment a real AIESEC international experience Develop new skills and knowledge, then bring back to own LC Form partnership between 2 LCs, Expand network of contacts Have a memorable experience in Hong Kong
Required Pro8ile and Knowledge required : Undergoing TMP TLP Excellent English skills, Community Development, Project Management , Leadership Skills, Team Management Presentation and Facilitating Skills
Basic Information of CEEDership
Job description 1 -‐ Facilitation of the Cross-‐Cultural Dialogue Project
1. LEADERSHIP CAMP (3days -‐ 2nights): -‐ Guide the middle school students understand themselves and the world. -‐ Help to build up leadership skills (communication skill, language skill, business management skill and self awareness for personal development and Hong Kong society -‐ Share leadership experience -‐Help the students develop those by encouraging them to proactively participate and interact with each other in the sessions.
2. CULTURAL DIVERSITY WORKSHOP: -‐ Involve in the workshops organized for local middle school students who usually have less chance to experience cultural diversity. -‐ Design a series of cultural stimulation activities including some sharing about the CEEDers’ home countries, cultural mini games, and discussions 3. GLOBAL FIESTA (in a public area) : -‐ Organise a mass event to exhibit their cultures -‐ Re_lect distinct countries and cultures by preparing things and design small activities -‐ Have a performance to re_lect their cultural uniqueness. -‐ Convey the message of cultural diversity through interaction with Hong Kong general public. -‐ Facilitate locals to discover global perspectives * For all three featured activities, CEEDers are required to prepare things that could represent their own countries’ such as traditional costumes, =lags, cuisine, music, games and etc.
Working Condition: FREE Accommodation, minimum 25 hours a week
Job Description 2 -‐ Participation of other project related events
1. AIESEC ACTIVITIES: -‐ Attend other AIESEC activities and promotion. 2. EXPERIENCE HONG KONG: -‐ Learn Hong Kong culture and history by the sharing of the Hong Kong AIESECers and secondary school students. -‐ Enjoy day-‐trip in Hong Kong. 3. CULTURAL SHARING: -‐ Do sharing with Hong Kong secondary schools or other organisations organised by our learning partner organisation, Inter Cultural Education (ICE).
Job Description 3 -‐ Quality Assurance on the project
-‐ Recording, tracking and evaluating on organizing committee’s progress -‐ Giving feedback and suggestions during evaluation to improve project’s quality -‐ Generating a report on the operations of project for future improvements
Job Description 4 -‐ Maintenance of sustainability of iGCDP
-‐ Assisting AIESEC-‐LC-‐PolyU to raise partnership with companies and NGOs for iGCDP -‐ Raising social recognition by promoting the value of iGCDP -‐ Experience sharing to enhance others’ understanding on the value of iGCDP -‐ Giving insights, experience sharing and assisting in the product development of iGCDP
