Auto Changeover is a feature used in clim

where both air conditioning and heating aused on the same day. When the system ito Auto, the thermostat automatically seleheating or cooling depending on the indootemperature.

Heat and cool settings must be at least 3

degrees apart. The thermostat will automacally adjust settings to maintain this 3-degseparation (called deadband).

The 3-degree separation between heatingcooling set temperatures is fixed, and canbe changed.

This feature helps prevent damage to the

compressor in your air conditioning or heapump system.

Damage can occur if the compressor isrestarted too soon after shutdown. This feture forces the compressor to wait for a feminutes before restarting.

During the wait time, the display will flashthe message Cool On (or Heat On if you ha heat pump). When the safe wait time haelapsed, the message stops flashing and compressor turns on.

Batteries are optional (to provide backup

power) if your thermostat was wired to run oAC power when installed.

Install fresh batteries immediately when theREPLACE BATTERY warning begins flashing. Thwarning flashes about two months before thbatteries are depleted.

Even if the warning does not appear, youshould replace batteries once a year, or befoleaving home for more than a month.

Batteries provide backup power to the displduring power interruptions. All settings are

permanently stored in memory, and do notrequire battery power.

In case of difficulty

If you have difficulty with your thermostat, please try the following suggestions.

Most problems can be corrected quickly and easily.Display is blank Check circuit breaker and reset if necessary.

Make sure power switch at heating & cooling system is on. Make sure furnace door is closed securely. If thermostat is battery-powered, make sure fresh AA or AAA alkalin

batteries (depending on model) are correctly installed (see page 10)

Temperaturesettings do notchange

Make sure heating and cooling temperatures are set to acceptable ranges Heat: 40 to 90F (4.5 to 32C). Cool: 50 to 99F (10 to 37C).

5-year limited warranty

Honeywell warrants this product, excluding battery, to be free from defects in the

workmanship or materials, under normal use and service, for a period of five (5) yfrom the date of purchase by the consumer. If at any time during the warranty perthe product is determined to be defective or malfunctions, Honeywell shall repair replace it (at Honeywells option).

Si le thermostat cause des ennuis, essayer lune de ces suggestions. La plupart d

problmes peuvent tre rgls rapidement et facilement.Lcran est vide Vrifier le disjoncteur et rinitialiser si ncessaire.

Sassurer que linterrupteur dalimentation du systme de chauffageet de climatisation est en marche.

Sassurer que la porte du systme de chauffage est bien ferme. Si le thermostat est aliment par piles, sassurer que les piles alcalin

AA ou AAA (selon le modle) ont t bien installes (page 10).

Vrifier le disjoncteur et rinitialiser si ncessaire. Sassurer que linterrupteur dalimentation du systme de chauffage

et de climatisation est en marche. Sassurer que la porte du systme de chauffage est bien ferme.

Attendre 5 minutes que le systme se mette en marche.

Les mentions Cool On ou Heat On clignotent

La fonction de protection du compresseur est active. Attendre5 minutes que le systme redmarre en toute scurit, sansendommager le compresseur (page 9).
