Local Employment

In an area of South Africa plagued by unemployment we support local job creation, paying wages far in excess of the minimum wage.

Our workers and local partners are culturally and racially diverse – a true reflection of the “Rainbow Nation”.

We remain committed to supporting the disadvantaged communities in the area through proactive and equal opportunity measures.

PRESERVE the botanical heritage of the ancient plant Cyclopia, and the

local Cape flora and fauna.

Local Farming History

The Langkloof is a 160 km long valley in South Africa, lying between Herold, a small village north of George, and Humansdorp.

The Heights Tea Estate is located in the heart of the Langkloof valley in the southern Cape region of South Africa

The valley has been farmed since 1760 and is an important fruit-growing region and a natural home to our precious Honeybush plants.

Cape Leopard & Landmark Foundation

Endemic to the area, the Cape Leopard is endangered by the persistent encroachment of human activities into its range and territory.

We strongly support the Landmark Foundation in its attempts to preserve this magnificent predator.

A donation from every Heights Honeybush sale is made to the Landmark Foundation to preserve the Cape Leopard as a legacy to our descendants:

We strongly support the aims and initiatives of the CDA, and we are actively involved in their outreach efforts to affected and at-risk populations.

We are proud to announce that we have a new commitment to Joubertina Elementary school in South Africa where part proceeds from the sale of each loose leaf goes toward helping to provide school supplies for the school.
