COLD BRIDGING:

OUR BUILDING SYSTEM:Campion concrete wall panels are made in a controlled factory environment, the manufacturing plant has over

6000 square metres of a production facility standing on 50 acres in Co. Laois, where every process of the

manufacturing procedure is quality controlled throughout.

Upon receiving the client’s drawings, our cad engineers produce the detailed drawings for the manufacturing

process to begin. The process begins with a computer designed and laser cut 130mm high density

Polyisocyanurate insulated panel being manufactured.

Electrical boxes, conduit, telephone & data sockets are all precisely positioned in the internal concrete wall panel.

100mm of 60 Newton concrete with structural steel is then placed on the casting beds, onto this we place the

130mm high density Polyisocyanurate insulation, with a further 50mm layer of concrete placed on top of the

panel.The concrete panels are connected with fibre composite ties which eliminate cold bridging.

The casting bed is then vibrated to produce

the strongest, smoothest wall panel possible.

The external wall is scratch coated to receive

the clients own required finish whether it be

plaster, stone, brick or dash finish.

sockets can be easily fitted at a later stage

with our unique socket to socket conduit

connection system.

When the concrete has set the panels are lifted from the casting beds and placed in an upright position onto our

unique Langendorf low level trailers for transportation to the site.

The panels when on site are lifted into position by crane, the erection of the panels by crane eliminates a large

amount of scaffolding hire associated with block built or timber frame construction.

The speed of erection cannot be equalled with any other construction process that is on offer at this time. The

erection process from floor level to the completed shell is a minimum of 10 TIMES FASTER than timber frame. This

gives an unrivalled return on investment for the developers and will lead to a quicker quality assured final build

process with less reliance for onsite trades and weather conditions, thereby reducing the overall cost & speed of the

build process.

Campion concrete group suggest to clients that they use our concrete pile foundation system when constructing

their home. The pile system produces a resistance which is 1.5 times the load of the house. This will ensure that

your property is sitting on a tried & tested solid foundation. Our system can also be used with raft foundations

and traditional strip foundations without any alterations to the foundation specifications.

To the piled foundations we add our floor beam and then our suspended concrete floor. We then erect theinsulated concrete wall panels to the ground floor and then place the suspended concrete flooring which formsthe ground floor ceilings & bedroom floors.

More wall panels are then erected to take the house to the bedroom ceiling height where we again use oursuspended concrete flooring which gives the added advantage of having a concrete floor in your attic space for aready made storage area or for a future straightforward conversion to a habitable space. All this can be achievedin the space of 1 week! The structure of the house can be erected in 2 days from the ground floor base level.
