Travel and Leisure caught my eye because of the central image. The cover of the magazine was simple, which emphasized the beauty of the photo from the travel destination.

Within my genre, Veranda caught my eye because of the brightly colored masthead against the mainly white central image.

Travel and Leisure had the best photography because of the interesting scenery that is used for the central image.

Time had the best design because it was well balanced and simple, but it still stood out.

People had the articles that grabbed my attention the most because they had interesting information about celebrities.

Veranda had the best table of contents because the colors used for the font and in the photos went together well.

Time had the best articles because they were well written and relevant to what is going on in the world.

My Visit to the Newsstand

What caught my attention the most was the masthead of the magazine. Specifically, the color of the masthead compared to the central image caught my attention.

I also realized that most home magazines do not have many coverlines. They have very simple covers.

I like it when the table of contents has one or two photos along with coverlines and their page numbers. I also like the font color to match these photos. I prefer when the coverlines are at the bottom of the page and go down one side.

Reflection on Visit

Verdana was the most inspirational magazine to me. I like the simple design and the fact that the masthead really stands out. The central image is also inspirational because it is well balanced.

I like this cover because of the contrast between the mainly neutral background and the blue masthead. This cover is well balanced and I like the style of the room.
