Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) was established in 2009 and is incorporated under Ontario’s Waste Diversion Act. OTS operates the Used Tires Program, a province-wide tire recycling program that has diverted over 50 million tires from burning and landfills.

We work together with innovative Ontario companies to ensure a sustainable

future for the tire recycling industry. Our network of haulers, processors and

recycled product manufacturers has created a multi-million dollar industry and

hundreds of new jobs in Ontario. The manufacturers we work with have

developed dozens of new products that have powerful effects on the

architecture, construction, landscaping and property management industries.

These products have led to innovations in offices, sports facilities, public

spaces and even homes and backyards.
