• We are the 4th largest HBA in Washington and the 35th largest in the nation.

HBA’s Built Green Program

What is Built Green?
• Launched in June 2008 – one of 12 local Built Green Programs in the state and part of the Built Green Washington group
• A market-driven, voluntary approach to green building using a checklist and thresholds.
• Incorporates energy efficiency, indoor air quality, siting and water issues and materials efficiency.

Statistics & Successes
• In 4 ½ years our program has certified more than 600 homes!
• We have five builders who build 100% of their homes as Built Green-certified.
• Maintaining partnerships with local utilities and NW Energy Star to promote green building and energy efficiency.

Future of Built Green
• Consolidated checklist for all of the Built Green Programs in Washington State
• Increase consumer awareness campaigns• Expand program to encourage using
green building practices in existing housing stock
• Accommodate new and emerging green technologies for new home construction
