Welcome to the Weekend Islamic School at Fukuoka Masjid (Alnour Islamic Culture
Center), located in Fukuoka. The school provides education in Islamic studies to
students from Pre-Kindergarten through the 3rd Grade.
This year, In Shaa Allah we are going to establish a Weekend Islamic School at Fukuoka
Masjid. It is committed to provide education in a caring and Islamic environment for the
children of the Muslim Community. The school will try to have highly qualified and
dedicated teachers to teach our children every Sunday.
The mission of the Weekend Islamic School at Fukuoka Masjid is to provide
students with an environment that promotes Islamic values and their integration into all
aspects of life to become responsible and contributing members of both the Islamic
community and the Japanese society.
Islamic Studies subjects include:
Basic Arabic Quran reading/recitation and memorization Tawheed and Aqeedah Essentials and Practices (Fiqh) Islamic History Islamic Morals (Akhlaq)
The Weekend Islamic School at Fukuoka Masjid will try to provide new spirit, an
innovative learning environment. The curriculum focuses on Islamic studies including
learning to read the Holy Quran, teaching proper Salat and knowledge in the light of
Quran and Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (PBUH).

School Policies for Year 2009 - 2010
The following policies for the school year 2009 - 2010 will be strictly enforced: Admission Policy
Student Age: 4-12 Years of age.
Tuition fees, in full, must accompany the application for registration. Application forms
must be fully completed and signed by parent / guardian.
Tuition Fees for the first term (October'09 through March'10):
One Child ¥2500
Two Children ¥4500
Three Children ¥6000
Four Children ¥7000
NOTE:
1. The Fee includes all the teaching materials, notebooks, coloring pens and pencils
provided for the school year.
2. Please realize that the school is a non-profit school.
3. Financial terms are flexible for those in need; Parents may contact the person-in-
charge for special arrangements.
Tuition Fee Refund Policy
There will be a 50% refund for those who withdraw within two weeks after
registration. There will be NO refund after two weeks. Weather Emergency
The School will be closed if there is a heavy rain or high speed wind 6 hours prior to
the starting time of the School. Cancellation of a school day will be decided 4 hours
prior to the start of the school and will be communicated to the students. Security and Safety of Students
Students are expected to remain in the School building and may not go outside unless
accompanied by parents or teachers.
Parents are discouraged from picking up their children early. In the case of an
emergency, parents will need to contact the person-in-charge.
Parents must inform the school administration regarding all changes in their address,
phone numbers and emergency contact information.

Discipline and Conduct
Students are required to respect the school’s property and equipment.
Damage to school property will result in fines and disciplinary action.
Food may not be consumed during class (this includes sweets and gum).
Abusive language and improper behavior will not be tolerated.
Repetitive improper behavior can result in suspension from the School.
Dress Code
Everyone on the premises is required to observe the Islamic dress code.
THE NO LIST:
NO jewellery (chains, necklaces, bangles, bracelets, rings, etc.)
NO shirts with pictures or writing on them.
NO nail polish (or other make up).
NO Barbie dolls, guns or action figures (no toys or food from home).
Note: the school staff has the authority to decide whether the clothing is appropriate or
not.
Absenteeism
Regular attendance is required. Three consecutive missed classes, without prior
notification, written or oral will result in suspension. Poor attendance will result in the
parents being required to meet the person-in-charge to discuss the situation.
Tardiness
All students are required to be in their classes by 10:20 am.

Assembly 10:00 am to 10:20 am
1st Period 10:20 am to 11:00 am
2nd Period 11.00 am to 11:40 am
Recess 11:40 pm to 11:50 am
3rd Period 11:50 pm to 12:30 am
Salaatul Zuhar 12:45 pm (All students are required to attend)
Going Back 1:00 pm

NOTE: All children have to be picked up by 12:30 pm, before the start of Dhuhr Salaat.
The school has no arrangements to baby sit any child. The parents will be entirely
responsible for their children after school hours.
Teaching Language
We will try to teach all the materials in Japanese or Arabic.
Books
The school will supply the notebooks, coloring pens and pencils on the first day of
school. However, the teaching materials will be delivered to students day by day. Guideline
Involvement of parents in their child’s education is the best contribution that can
ensure the success of the school and its educational agenda.
Commitment to the Weekend Islamic School will ensure that we foster an Islamic
atmosphere where our children can learn about our religion in the best way possible.

Admission Procedures
Students from all backgrounds are admitted at the school. Students are assigned to appropriate classes, depending on their knowledge of Arabic. A placement test may be administered to determine the student’s level of Arabic.
The following school-forms must be completed.
1. Registration Form 2. A copy of Birth Certificate 3. A copy of Health Insurance Card 4. Tuition Payment
Registration forms are available at the Masjid, or you can download (in either DOC or PDF formats) directly. Registrations take place on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students who register after the classes have been filled will be placed on a waiting list. The student’s acceptance will be conditional, based upon specific behavior for a specific period of time. If this is not met, the School reserves the right to remove the student from the school.
Onsite registration hours: on Saturdays or Sundays (10:00AM – 12:30PM)

Men and women entrance
There are two entrances in the front side of the Masjid. The main entrance is for men where they can pray in the first floor and the big hall in the basement. To the left of the main entrance there is another entrance for women and children where they can go up directly to the second and third floors. Please avoid mixing on the entrances.
Parking
For those who are coming by bicycles
Please park your bicycle in the bicycles park (North side of The Masjid)
For those who are coming by Cars
There is no park for the Masjid, however, there are many coin parks scattered around the Masjid and around JR Hakozaki Station. Please check the above map for some parking areas around MASJID.
