Possible Newsletter Change—from Paper to Electronic: The Session of Millersburg First
Presbyterian is considering offering our monthly newsletter electronically versus sending out a
paper copy. The change from paper to electronic would allow us to be better stewards of both our
monetary resources and our planet. Paper copies will continue to be sent to shut-ins. In your
April bulletins, you will find a tear out sheet asking whether you would like to receive your
newsletter in the mail or through email. Please take the time to fill out the form.
Director of Children and Family Ministries: We are still looking for a part-time Director of
Children and Family Ministries. If someone you know would be a good fit, please let Pastor
Burnetta or member of the Support/Personnel Team know. The members of the
Support/Personnel Team are Richard Haun, Tom Vaughn, Garrett Roach, Vicki Wile, and Pastor
Burnetta (ex officio).

STEVEN MULLET’S ADDRESS FOR BASIC TRAINING: Steven Mullet is in basic training for the Marine Corp at Parris Island, SC. His address is given below. Just a couple of things to note when sending mail. First, make sure that you write the address exactly as it is given below. Failure to do so will result in Steven not receiving his letter. Second, don’t write anything negative (i.e. “We miss you,” “Wish you were here,” etc.). I know he would love to know we are thinking of him and praying for him.

The Great Hour of Sharing Offering will be received on Palm Sunday, April 9 and Easter Sunday,
April 16. Envelopes will be in the pew racks for your gifts. Through this longstanding, ecumenical
effort, Presbyterians share God's love by giving to ministries that provide relief to those affected
by natural disasters, food for the hungry, and support towards the self-development of poor and
oppressed communities.
Ruth Steimel, longtime member of the Millersburg Church passed away on February 23 at the home of
her daughter. She had turned 93 on January 31. Private services were held at the church for the family,
conducted by Pastor Burnetta Armour. Ruth joined the church as a youth and served in many capacities
over the years. She was a member of Session, a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher. She was active in
the Presbyterian Women's Association and served as treasurer for many years. She also belonged to many
civic and community organizations. She assisted her husband, Dick, as owners of Steimel Village Motors,
started in 1952. Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Ronda Steimel and
grandaughter Brogan Steimel and daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Marcus Ladrach and grandsons,
Will and Ben Ladrach. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother,
Paul Mast and a sister, Pearl Mast.
Touching Lives - Serving with heart and hands
Thank you, dear congregation, for joining us in reaching out, visiting, preparing and taking meals, praying, calling, sending cards with God's love tucked within each! The Deacons have mailed 60+ Birthday Cards and 50+ Thinking of You Cards since January 1st, which are always signed from Your First Presbyterian Family and Friends. It is your donations that support this effort and you are all a part of each sentiment sent. Kicking off Lent, we hosted a Mardi Gras Celebration February 26th with 50 (ages 1-90) staying after church for fellowship and fun! We enjoyed Chefs Helal's and Chef Carole's amazing Gumbo and prizes (gift cards) for finding the babies in the King's Cake /Cupcakes were given to Lily Rittenour and either Leighton or Collins Taylor. Kids games and Euchre finished out the day. We're still smiling! Over 20 soups and meals have been/continue to be organized for families and individuals within and beyond our church. Personal visits are ongoing and again, we thank YOU for making calls, too. Please, keep us updated with concerns. We are so sorry if we have missed anyone, but are trying very hard to cover all. As always, the Floral Cross will be standing in the Narthex on Easter morning for all of you to adorn with fresh flowers. A floral arrangement and fresh potted bulbs (for delivery to shut-ins after Sunday) will be on display. We again offer remembrances of loved ones with names and much appreciated donations directed to Amie Buzzard. Gift cards in appreciation of special help and upcoming new arrivals (babies) have been given. Fresh and silk arrangements are delivered to many. Continued prayer support for numerous needs throughout the family, community, state, nation, world are lifted. We thank God for the privilege of serving - giving Him all praise!
