spoketohim,theywouldlowertheirvoicesandwouldnotlookathisfaceconstantlyoutofrespect.Urwareturnedtohispeople

andsaid,"Opeople!ByAllah,IhavebeentothekingsandtoCaesar,KhosrauandAnNajashi,yetIhaveneverseenanyofthem

respectedbyhiscourtiersasmuchasMuhammadisrespectedbyhiscompanions.ByAllaah,ifhespat,thespittlewouldfallinthe

handofoneofthem(i.e.theProphet'scompanions)whowouldrubitonhisfaceandskin;ifheorderedthem,theywouldcarryou

hisorderimmediately;ifheperformedablution,theywouldstruggletotaketheremainingwater;andwhentheyspoke,theywould

lowertheirvoicesandwouldnotlookathisfaceconstantlyoutofrespect." SahihMuslim:Volume3,Book50,Number891.

AndwemustnotforgetthecoveredsmallwindowwithchainoverthegreendomeatMadinah.Duringdroughttime,whenMuslims

ofMadinahcomplainedtoHadhratAaisha(r.a),sheinstructedthemtomakeasmallholeabovetheDomeoftheProphetsGrave

(to sunrays fallonholygrave)andaskDuaa.As soonas sunrays felluponholygraveandwith itsBarakah therewas rain star

pouringheavily.Thiswascontinuedinlaterperiodsalso.Whenthegreendomewasconstructedabovetheolddome,theymadea

hole and made window on it. Again this method was continued whenever draught happened. But at last this practice was

discontinued,smallwindowabovethegreendomepermanentlyclosedwithchainbythenewWahhabiregime.

LetusdoZiarahnowtotheimportantplacesintheholylandandeachofthesehistoricallysignificantplaceshasalessontobe

learnt.Withoutknowingthebackground,orwhattodoandjustwalkingaboutinadmirationandreturningwouldmakeonesuch

asadloser.Thesethoughtsarenotbasedonanyparticularsectoranyspecificbeliefbutarepointerstoanopportunityforevery

MuslimtogatherasmuchBlessingsasonecanduringavisittoTheHolyLand.

Visitingsuchaplace,asaEuropeantourist,marvellingatitandposingforpicturesmaybedonebuttheimportanceistobehaveas

directedbySahabahandtheAuliaAllaah. ForexamplethefortunateoneswhoaregrantedtheopportunitytovisitJabaleNoo

andreachtheGhaareHira,shouldreciteSurahAlAlaqoratleastfirstfiveAyath,asthesewerethefirstrevelation.DooneSajdha

andpray2rakatnaflprayer,andthenreciteaDaroodSharief.

MayAllaahforgivemeifImademistakeorerrorintheabovenarrationandmayAllaahguideusalltotherightpath.

MASJIDADDASinTaif:locatedoutskirtofTaifcityneartoAlKoumasjid,whereChristianslaveAddasofNinevah(cityinIraq),took

Prophet (saw)tohishutandgavegrapes toProphet (saw)andhisadoptedsonZaidbinHaritha (r.a).WhenProphet (saw)said

BismillahRaheemwhileputtinggrape inhismouth,Addasastonishedandenquiredhimabouthis identity,andafterhaving

little conversation,he became Muslim there. Historians say Mosquewas constructed over the Addashut, where Prophet (saw

stayedandrestedforfewdays.Approximatelystayedfor10daysandpreachedtothelocalpeopleandlefttoMakkah.

MASJIDFATAH in JUMOOMnearMakkahoutskirtsontheway toMadinah.HereAbuSufiyan (r.a)becameMuslimandgottitle

RadhiAllaahuAnhu.ThisMasjidisthelocationforthetentofProphet(saw),whenhestoppedherebeforeenteringMakkahwith

his10000Sahabah,duringFatahMakkah.WhenyouleaveforMadinahthismasjidliesonyourleftsideinJumoom.

waterandprayedhereinIhramcloth.ImamAhmadnarratesProphet(saw)usedtogoandpraythere).

MASJIDJINN:NarratedbyTabraaniontheauthorityof IbneAbbas (r.a)thatJinncametoProphet(saw)twice& theywerefrom

Nasibeen.Basedontheaboveinformation,itisunderstoodthatfirstincidentwasinHUJOONwhereMasjideJinnisconstructed

(andsecond incidentwithJINNwasatBatnNakhlahasexplainedbyTafseerJalalain &IbneKatheer.) It iscalledtheMasjidJinn

becauseitisherethatalargegroupofJinnacceptedIslamatProphets(saw)hand.AbdullaahbinMas'ood(r.a)waswithProphe

(saw)atthattime,butProphet(saw)drewa lineonthegroundwhichhewasnottocross (tosavehim fromshockandphysica

barber shavingRasool (saw)head.SomeSahabah strugglingeachother toget thehairsofRasool (saw).At that timeKhalidbin

Waleed said to Rasool (saw), O Messenger of Allaah, the forelock! Give it unto none but me, my father and mother be you

ransom!AndRasool(saw)gaveittohim,hepresseditreverentlyagainsthiseyesandlips.ItisreportedthatKhalidbinWaleed(r.a

usedtokeepthishairsinhisheadgear,neverlostanybattleinhislifeduetoitsBarakah.AlHamdulillaahIhadachanceofkissing

thishairinHazratbalMasjid,Srinagar,KashmirandcreditgoestoFarooqAbdullah,ChiefMinisterofKashmir.

offeredMaghrib&Ishaprayerstogether.InthissameplaceProphetAdam(a.s)andHawwa(a.s)stayedwholenightdidSujoodand

askedDuaa.Ibrahim(a.s)andIsmail(a.s)alsoprayedhere.

MasjidBAIYYAHorMasjidUqba inMina:Here is thespotwheretheAnsarofMadinahpledged theirallegiance toourProphe

(saw)in621Hijri.ThereisastonewithinscriptionsonitabouttheMasjidincidentsbyAbbasidKhalifaAbuJaffaralMansourin144

Hijri.(761A.C).FirsttimetwoKabilabelongstoAwsandKhajrajtribe,12peoplecameandtookbaiyyah.Secondtimepledgecalled

theBaiyyahAqabaThaaniyatookplacethe followingyear (13thyearafterProphethood).72or73maleand2womencameand

tookbaiyyahfromProphet(saw)infrontofUncleAbbasibnMuttalibwhoatthatpointwasnotaMuslim,andtheyinvitedProphe

(saw) to Madinah. Here Prophet (saw) conducted prayers. Total 5 Mihrabs are there. Other 4 Mihrabs denotes about other 4

KhalifasofIslamconductedprayerhere.ItistherooflessMasjidandwaslastlyrenovatedbyTurkish.

Prophet(saw)birthplace:ItwasinthevicinityofthisValleythatProphet(saw)familytheBanuHaashimlived.Thesiteisafamous

one.Thefamous AbbaasiKhalifahHaaroonAlRasheedhadaMasjidbuiltatthesite,whichSheikhAbbaasQataan(rah)demolished

in1370A.H.(1950)tobuildalibrary.NowtheseWahhabisdeclaresthisbirthplacedoesnthaveanyvalueorimportanceinIslam.

Marked place was the home, belonged to a Sahabi named Arqam bin Abu Arqam (r.a). For some time after Prophet (saw.

proclaimedhisProphethood,thishousewasthesecretcenterofpropagation. Itwashere thattheMuslimsgatheredtoperform

SalaahandlearnaboutIslam.TheAbbaasiKhalifahHaaroonArRasheedhadaMasjidbuiltatthesiteintheyear171A.H.(787).I

wassituatedoutsidetheMas'aa.Duringtheirterms,variousMuslimKhulafaahaverenovatedandrebuilttheMasjid.

farewellHajjin632Hijri.

BEERTUWA(TUWAWELL):ThesignificanceoftheareaisthatProphet(saw)spentanightthereonthewaytoFatahMakkahalong

with10,000Sahaba,tookabathwiththewaterofthewellthenextmorningandthenperformedSalaah.Thereafter,heentered

Makkah.ItwasthereforethepracticeofAbdullaahbinUmar(r.a)alwaystospendanighthereandthenproceedtoMakkahafte

takingabath."ThisiswhatRasoolullaah(saw)did,"hewouldsay.AMasjidhadbeenconstructedattheplacenearthewellwhere

Prophet(saw)performedSalaah.ThisMasjidwasinexistenceuntilrecenttimes,whenitwaseventuallydemolished.

buriedhere includinggravesofAbdManaf:Great,greatgrandfatheroftheHolyProphet[saw],Hashim:Greatgrandfatherofthe

HolyProphet[saw],AbdulMuttalib:GrandfatheroftheHolyProphet(saw),andAbuTalib:FatherofHadhratAli(radhi).Khadijah

bintKhuwaylid:FirstwifeoftheHolyProphet(saw)andmotherofSayyidaFatima(r.a],Abdullah&Qasim:sonsoftheHolyProphe

(saw)whodiedintheirinfancy.AsmaBintAbuBakr,AbdullahBinZubair,AbuBakr(radhi)ssonAbdurRahmanandothers.TheHoly

Prophet(saw)usedtovisititfrequently.Itisthe2ndholiestgraveyardofIslamafterJannatulBaqi(BaqiGraveyard).

ABDULLAH bin UMAR (r.a) was born to Umar ibn alKhattab (r.a) and his wife Zaynab bint Madh'uwn (sister of Uthman bin

Madh'uwn)sometimearound614.Helearntagreatdealandbothheandhisfatherhadthebenefitoflearningfromthegreates

teacherofall,MuhammadtheMessengerofGod(peacebeuponhim).Abdullahwouldobserveandscrutinizecloselyeverysaying

andactionoftheProphetinvarioussituationsand,hewouldpracticewhatheobservedcloselyandwithdevotion.Forexample,i

AbdullahsawtheProphet(saw)performingSalatinaparticularplace,hewouldlaterprayinthesameplace.IfhesawtheProphe

makingasupplicationwhilestanding,hewouldalsomakeaduaawhilestanding. Ifhesawhimmakingaduaawhilesitting,he

woulddothesame.OnajourneyifhesawtheProphet(saw)descendfromhiscamelataparticularplaceandpraytworakats,and

hehadoccasiontopassonthesameroute,hewouldstopatthesameplaceandpraytworakats.InaparticularplaceinMakkah,he

onceobservedtheProphet'scamelmakingtwocompleteturnsbeforehedismountedandprayedtworakats.Itmightbethatthe

cameldidthat involuntarilybutAbdullah ibnUmarwhenhehappenedtobe in thesameplaceatanother time,madehiscame

completetwoturnsbeforemaking itkneelanddismounting.Hethenprayedtworakats inpreciselythesamemannerashehad

seentheProphet(saw)do.

HewaseighteenyearsoldattheendofProphet(saw)in632A.H.Hewouldpracticestepbystepwhatheobservedcloselyandwith

devotionofProphet(saw).Aaisha,(r.a),noticeddevotionofAbdullahibnUmar(r.a)totheProphet(saw)andremarked:"Therewas

noonewhofollowedthefootstepsoftheProphet(saw),intheplaceswherehealightedasdidIbnUmar."

Mu'jizaatunNabiby IbnKatheer(Pg.210).ShewastheonlyProphetswifewitnessedalltheperiodoffourKhalifaanddiedinthe

periodofKhalifaMuawiyya(r.a).

HudhaibiyaHaramboundary.Thereissmallmosqueandawell.HereProphet(saw)andSahabadidZubahandremovedtheir

Ihram.Ibelievethatnowthesemarkingswereremoved.

Narrated IyasbinSalamabinAlAkwa: (Thiswas theplaceHudaibiya treatywaswrittenunder the treeand later thiswas the

masjidandSahabahusedtopray.)Myfather,whowasamongstthosewhohadgiventhePledgeofallegiancetotheProphet(saw

beneaththeTree,saidtome,"WeusedtooffertheJumuaprayerwiththeProphet(saw)andthendepartatatimewhenthewalls

hadnoshadeforustotakeshelterin."

(LikethisKhalifaAbuBakrSiddiquekhilafatperiodhasalsogone.Laterpeopleforgottentheexacttreelocation,startedprayingnea

bythetrees.SoduringUmarbinKhattab(r.a)khilafatperioditwasorderedtocutallthetrees).

NarratedSaidbinAlMusaiyab:Thathisfathersaid,"IsawtheTree(oftheArRidwan)PledgeofallegianceandwhenIreturnedtoi

later,Iwasnotabletorecognizeit.(ThesubnarratorMahmiJdsaid,AlMusaiyabsaid,'Then;forgotit(i.e.,theTree).)".

WhenIsetoutforHajj,Ipassedbysomepeopleofferingaprayer,Iasked,"Whatisthismosque?"Theysaid,"ThisistheTreewhere

Allaah'sApostletooktheArRidwanPledgeofallegiance.Then IwenttoSa'idbinMusaiyaband informedhimabout it.Saidsaid

"MyfathersaidthathewasamongstthosewhohadgiventhePledgeofallegiancetoAllaah'sApostlebeneaththeTree.He(i.e.my

father) said, "When we set out the following year, we forgot the Tree and were unable to recognize it. Then Said (perhap

ironically) "Thecompanionsof theProphet (saw)couldnot recognize it;nevertheless,youdo recognize it; thereforeyouhavea

betterknowledge.

Umar(r.a)alsoburiedhisdaughterherebeforeconvertingtoIslam.NearbyareasofMasjidalHaramwasdemolishedtoextendthe

Masjidandconstructednewhotelsexceptleavingthisgraveyard.Inhistoryitisrelated,thisareawasdonatedbyKhadijah(r.a).

SHIABEAMIRAREA:JustbeforethetunnelhereProphet(saw)andallhisfamilymembersandfollowerswerekeptonsocial

boycottforthreeyears.LocatednearBanuHashimorBanuTalibMohallaandbelowtheMountAbuQubais.

WADIMUHASSAR:ItwasataplacebetweenMinaandMuzdalifahwhereAllaahdestroyedAbrahaandhisarmyofelephants.This

incident ismentioned in theSurahFeel.TheHadith is reportedby Jaabir (r.a)which states thatProphet (saw)walkedbrisklyby

WaadiMuhassar.AnotherreasonisthatthiswastheareawheretheArabsusedtogatherduringthePeriodofIgnorancetolaudthe

achievementsoftheirforefathers.TheShari'ahthereforewishestoopposethepracticesof ignorancebyhasteningpassthearea

OurProphet(saw)wasborn5255dayslaterafterthisincidentaccordingtohistorians.

MAQAMEISMAIL(a.s)atMina:HereIsmail(a.s)wassacrificedbyProphetIbrahim(a.s).Stillyoucanseethismarkedplace.

ZUBAIDAH CANAL at Mina, Arafa and Mujdhalifa: This canal was built by Zubaydah who was the wife of the Abbaasi Khalifah

HaaroonAlRasheed (174A.H. /791A.D.).ThepeopleofMakkah receivedwater from thiscanal for twelvehundredyearsand

Muslimrulerscontinuedrepairingandmaintainingitthroughthecenturiesuntiliteventuallystartedtobreakupandwasnolonge

used.

Prophet (saw) then rodea camelwhileAbuBakr (r.a)andhis slaveAamirbinFuhayrah (r.a) shared theother.Aamir (r.a) rode

behindAbuBakr(r.a).Inthismanner,theHijrahwascompleted.

giventotheareawhereshe(probably)lived.Verse:92ofSurahNahalwasrevealedwiththeexampleofRaitah.

QuranAyahswritten inthehillrocks locatednearJERAANAHnearWADIHUNAIN. Inscriptionmarkingsshowsengraved inthe

year78Hijri.MostprobablyeitherSahabiorTabayeenengravedthis.Thisissmallareajustlikehill,mostoftherocksengravedwith

QuranAyah.Kindlyvisitthisareaanditisprotectedbyarcheologicaldepartmentnow,anditisamazingsight.Visitedthisareawith

familyintheyear2009.
