Mardi Gras Celebration February 13 is Mardi Gras – Fat Tuesday! This is the day before Ash Wednesday when we purge our pantries of the sweet things that will tempt us during the six weeks of Lent. To celebrate this day of feasting before our day of fasting, we will have a casual supper in the Parish Hall, from 6-7 pm. You are officially invited to attend with your family and friends! In the spirit of Mardi Gras tra-dition, you may consider cleaning out your pantry of unnecessary food, and using it to make a dish to share with your fellow parishioners. Job Posting As many of you may already know, my co-worker, Catherine Erbes de Ajxup is pregnant and due to have her second child in March. With the addition of a new family member, Catherine has elected to be a stay at home mother and dedicate more time to her family. Her tentative last day of work will be on March 15. Catherine began her service at OLM on December 1, 2014. During her time here, Catherine has served our community with en-thusiasm, creativity, diligence, and kindness. Our Lady of the Mountains is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Specialist in the Par-ish Office. Essential Job Functions: Essential job func-tions include, but are not limited to: welcom-ing visitors/callers to the parish office; main-taining and updating the parish Family Directo-ry; assisting in scheduling and paperwork for sacramental Masses (baptisms, weddings, etc.); supporting the Clergy, Business Manag-er, and other ministries as required; maintain-ing accurate office and sacramental records; performing data entry work; design, layout, and distribution of public communication, in-cluding the bulletin and social media; serving as backup to business manager when she is out of office. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities In-clude: Basic understanding of the Catholic faith; ability to maintain complete confidenti-ality; positive outlook; team player; flexible; proficient computer skills with a willingness to learn church specific programs; good problem solving ability; excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); good time manage-ment and organizational skills; ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
