Basket Brigade Bounty 78+ baskets brimming with food. Hundreds of personally wrapped gifts for children in need of all ages. More delivery volunteers than baskets!
Such was the bounty of Holy Angels' first participation in the food and toy drive called the Basket Brigade last Saturday, December 12th.
Most gratifying however were the smiles on the faces of the basket recipients. Gracious mothers overjoyed at the generosity of others. Tear-filled eyes of parents as they accepted your kind and generous donations. One family had prepared a thank you card to show its gratitude. And all of them our neighbours in South Etobicoke.
Our brigade consisted of dozens of volunteers, mothers, fathers, children, parents and teachers, some of whom who had brought their entire families to help make deliveries. All of them eager to help and so overjoyed at being able to pitch in during this festive season.
After the deliveries had been completed, you could hear the beautiful comments of those present: "It was a wonderful and humbling experience." "It truly is better to give than receive." "Can't wait until we can do this again!"
Thank you Holy Angels for your generous contributions of food, toys, time and love! Community Giving Committee

DID YOU KNOW? The Parent Council invested in a lost and found wardrobe. It is located in the main hall across from the gym doors. Every Friday parent volunteers organize the wardrobe and return any labeled items to the students. Items that have been left unclaimed for more than 4 weeks are donated to a local charity.
Upcoming Workshop for Parents and Guardians of Holy Angels students
We hope you can join us! Pro Grant Committee
