Helpful Hints for 7th
Grade
(Revised to reflect Distance Learning due to COVID-19)
Try to stay on top of your Distance Learning for the rest of this year so that you are ready for 7th grade
Talk with your parents and if needed, contact your 6th grade teacher about which classes would be best for you.
Ask your older siblings or friends about for tips on how to be successful in junior high.
Come to the WEB Orientation on August 25th to meet your WEB leaders.
This is important !
• Please try your best to enter your courses in StudentConnect by Wednesday, April 15th. Please mail the course request sheet to Holmes (1220 Drexel Drive, Davis, CA 95616), or send a picture or scan of it to Mrs. Shields by email.
•Make sure your parents watch this presentation with you so they can help you fill out the form. Email Mrs. Shields at [email protected] with any questions!
Okay, that was the important part that had to do with signing up for your 7th grade courses, which we know you’re all eager to do!
Please go ahead and sign up for your courses, and then when you have some more time, come back and watch the Incoming 7th grade parent presentation. It has more information about some of the classes you’ll be taking, and it will be posted to the counseling page of the Holmes website during Spring Break.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for being such good “listeners”.We are really looking forward to seeing
you in August!
Sincerely, all of us at Holmes
