“I enjoy meeting people andbeing able to help them. Thefeedback I receive is verygratifying.”

Dr. Lee’s work is not about dieting, but changing thecomposition of our diet to complement our condition. She takes measurements of body composition, metabolismand muscle tone, which then allows her to customize along-term plan to treat existing conditions, enhanceoverall health and avert future problems.

In this equation, muscle tone is as critical as nutrition.“As we age, we must adjust not only the food we eat, but

incorporate resistance training.”

For Dr. Lee, nutrition is more than a credential.“It’s my passion,” she says. “My work at Hollenbeckwill be the foundation of my practice.”

Having worked in a number of senior residentialsettings, Dr. Lee is impressed by Hollenbeck. “It’s nicer, more helpful, more family-oriented,” she says.“Everyone on staff knows every resident — you simplydon’t see that in many facilities. It enhances thequality of care.”

acclaimed as one of the 50 best hospitals in the U.S.

What is notable about her studies is that Dr. Leealso accomplished a Clinical Nutrition/WeightManagement Research Fellowship at UCLA. Thisadditional certification qualifies her to provide medicalevaluation of nutrition-related diseases andcomplications, weight management, and alternate-therapy type approaches using nutrition as a basis.
