The Keepers Fund was established in 2003 to honor individuals recognized as Keepers of the Culture for their commitment to keeping, communicating and connecting our cultural, historical and natural heritage. Contributions made to The Keepers Fund support the CHM’s collection acquisitions program. By building our collections, we are better equipped to understand and tell the story of York County and the surrounding region. Contributions may be made as honoraria or memorials and are eligible for matching gift
programs offered by many employers.

2009 Vernon Grant Holiday Ornament“Santa, Am I on the List?"
The 23rd annual holiday ornament was inspired by “Now Let Me See…,” an illustration from the December 21, 1946, cover of Saturday Home Magazine. The portly Santa checking his “good & bad list” has been coupled with one of Grant’s trademark gnomes from a 1950 Gillette Razor advertisement. $19.98
Sponsored in part by the family of Our Three Sons Broadcasting, including WRHI AM/FM and Interstate 107.
2009 Vernon Grant Holiday Card“But Santa, I’ve Been Gooood!”
Vernon Grant created this Santa in 1936 during the Great Depression when the pockets and purses of Americans were empty. This popular “empty pockets” Santa was featured as a Greeting Card for Art Guild Greeting Cards and later used by Mitchell Faust Advertising Company and F.W. Woolworth. $3
Made possible through the generosity of Jan and David Angel / Angel Insurance and Financial Services.
